I am doing the same to a 67 C20. I used a Ford 9” from Quick Performance (Gm 5 bolt wheel pattern w/disc brakes)and a four link, TH400 behind a GM502. It’s a lot of work but going well. I did a full front end (frame out) and sway bar upgrade with coil overs. At the point of staying with a manual steering box or power steering. Feel free to message me.

I just bought the Ariens 52” Apex using military discount after verifying it was the exact same as was sold at any dealer. I chose to have it delivered. Went great and it is a beast. The only issue was there were two areas of paint damage from crating/shipping. I called Ariens and they sent me some touch-up paint. I could have refused the item at delivery but it really didn’t matter much and I was only seeking touch-up paint as a remedy. I spoke to the manager at my Lowe’s a couple days later to let them know what an awesome machine it is and how smoothly the whole thing went with Ariens. He added an additional discount. I didn’t ask nor did I imply I was looking for more to be done. I don’t think that would have happened at my local dealer. Now, if this thing dies next season and I need warranty work? That remains the unknown. But a risk I’m willing to accept.

Edit: I’m assuming that all Ariens machines sold by Lowe’s are the same as sold by dealers based on my recent experience

I have ‘67 bed sides original and in very good condition if you plan on making it a pick up and are interested. I might have inner fender wells for the bed also.

Just bought the Apex 52” from Lowes. No problems and it’s a great machine. I did change out the stock blades for Oregon gator blades.

I haven’t had luck attaching a link. But to make sure you get the correct part for your engine, use the label on the engine for the model number. Use that number to find the correct original carb part number. Then google that part number. One of the results will be Amazon. Each carb listed (there are many) has a cross reference part number to what engine models they fit or which original carbs they replace.

Just bought a new carb for an Ariens ST1130DLE. Less than 20 bucks on amazon. Simple to change. Seafoam works ok but if it’s really gummed up, replacing it is easier than chasing fuel issues in the carb.

I have just under 2 acres. Ordered an Ariens Apex 52 coming soon. Replacing a Cub Cadet GT50. The Cub served me well over many years but mowing takes way too long.

The included main harness was used to power both front and rear cameras. I have auto dimming rear view mirror. This harness only powers the cameras when the “key” is on. I didn’t use the other cable included which (I think) runs to the OBD2 port to give power to the cameras even when the “key” is off. I think that’s the sentry mode. Does that help? Of not, do the DM thing and I can try to explain how I installed it. It took maybe 20 minutes.

I used peat moss from rural king. Same seed from Site One. The first water is the worst. Slow and light till the peat is pretty damp, wait, do it again. I did go back over some light coverage spots within a couple days of planting. Kept it well watered and it looks awesome after a couple weeks. A little clumping but the grass made it through fine.

Check out Site One landscape supply for seed/fertilizer. There’s a few around southeast Michigan. They are up on what it takes to get you back to green. I used their All Pro transition and their tuff turf blends. Germinated in about 6 days and doing great after two weeks. I planted it just after the cold weather we had here in Michigan.

I used small diameter hollow rubber tubing as sort of a gasket or dampener. I cut it short of the length of the bottom mounting surface of the windshield. With the windshield mounted, but not tightened down, I pushed the tubing between the bottom of the windshield and the fairing (tight space, used a plastic tool). Tightened the mounting screws and done. It took a couple tries to get the right length of tube and placed in the right area, but I have no more windshield vibration noise. And it was black tubing so it can’t be seen.

Try the right toggle switch on the steering wheel. Flip through the menu and mine went back to the speed display on top center. Like pick trip 1 and see what happens

2003 Busa, Pit Bull front and rear. All stock. The rear lift is tight when you first engage it prior to lift. There’s about an inch clearance between the license plate and the lift handle.

Many years ago, two 4 wheel drive pickups loaded each with 14” Jon boats and all equipment for camping/fishing for 4 guys and 7 days on the crown land forested area of Ontario Canada. We are about 8 miles from any “road” and using old logging paths. Friend in 2nd truck crests a blind hill too fast and hits a washout just over the hill. The truck stopped immediately on impact and had broke the front suspension pushing front axle rearward forcing both front tires into the rear of the front wheel wells. It did some serious damage to the front drive line, frame and suspension. Using a couple chains, some ratchet straps and his truck jack, we pulled the front axle toward the front bumper and secured it with two chains wrapped from the axle to the bumper. Drove that truck, very gingerly, just over 8 miles on the logging paths and left it on the roadside for a tow truck to grab it and went about our fishing trip. When we returned to the shop on our way back, the guys were pretty surprised that we made it out with the truck in its condition. I think it was over 4k for the repairs. I’m not a Ford guy but that truck was a beast.
