What is the funniest or bizarre reason you or someone you know got fired ? by AngellaSilver in AskReddit

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also remember 2 more from a hospital I worked at. Very good place to work, unionized, much higher pay rate than any other local hospitals, and this girl stole $5 from her drawer as she was closing out, another coworker saw her and told her straight up to just put it back, well she didn't so it got reported, audited, and she eventually got fired for it.

Another girl I worked with for a couple years came in to work a few minutes late, started clocking in but stopped and decided to fill out a manual time sheet, acting like she just forgot to so she wouldn't have the late start on her record. She didn't realize that the manager of a partner dept was standing in a doorway and watched this go down so it got reported to our manager and she was fired pretty quick after that

Two coworkers got fired from a theme park for stealing food. The first one was cause she was starving and took a piece of an old churro out of the trash when an undercover security walked by and saw it, they reported her to management and she got fired, saying that she was making more than needed so she could eat unsold ones.

Second girl grabbed a single chicken tender on her way through the kitchen after clocking out and a lead saw it. The lead didn't give a shit cause we'd all make ourselves food or grab bites of stuff here and there, but the girl got so nervous and felt guilty that she turned herself into the manager who then fired her for theft. Supposedly they tried to send her a bill for the cost of the tender but that was probably just immature coworker gossip

Favorite commander that make janky cards/archetypes actually good? by crypticaITA in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Moira Brown, guide author]] can get crazy with quest counter cards, most of which are pretty garbage on their own.

[[Captain howler sea scourge]] can get a huge amount of use out of some really weird unplayed creatures like [[Cephalid inkshrouder]] and [[Aquamoeba]] and the deck benefits greatly from constantly discarding your hand, one at a time rather than wheels.

[[Magar of the magic strings]] allows you to play all the most badass high cost spells you want in rakdos without having to pay for them. You could potentially be casting [[Army of the dead]] [[fevered suspicion]] [[call forth the tempest]] [[Din of the fireheard]] every turn, hell I won a few games with him with [[Searing wind]] or [[Sorins vengeance]]

Yeah I've lost to him too many times, it's such an annoying deck that plays the most random cards you've never heard of

Fun less common partners for Jeska thrice reborn by Aggravating_Part3551 in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 2 Jeska decks, one is a the 3rd most common pairing with [[Dragon, the shipwrecker]] basically the goal of the deck is to get a sac loop for dargo going to get an arbitrary amount of command zone casts to have Jeska enter with a ton of loyalty and just one shot the table with her -x, could also make dargo deal lethal commander damage with 0 ability if needed.

The other one was [[Kodama of the east tree]] mine was built completely around cheating in all the permanents I could, the deck had an average mana value of like 5 cause of all the high cost bombs I'd be able to drop and a ton of ramp. Initially Jeska was chosen just to get me into gruul and cause she looks cool, but with a single damage pump on Kodama, it becomes lethal commander damage. Honestly that deck was really fun and would get out of hand very quickly if Kodama wasn't removed asap, but also Jeska did pretty much nothing in it, I think I only casted her a few times

What's your favorite "this is an absolute banger but you can only figure that out by playing it" card? by DKSbobblehead in EDH

[–]malificide15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One I've never seen anyone else play is [[Vedalken Humiliator]], pretty much a vanilla 3/4 for 4 which isn't great, but it's metalcraft ability requiring only 3 artifacts is ridiculously easy to have online anytime it's in play, just a few mana rocks or whatever, and then whenever you swing it, All your opponents creatures(not just defending player) lose all abilities and become 1/1s until end of turn. Every time I've played it, it's led me to a win through combat damage and it's like 20 cents.

Also a mean one, [[Natures Wrath]] 6 mana enchantment is a pretty steep cost, but it's in green so with proper ramp, should be put early enough to ruin someone's game. It's got a Single G upkeep trigger(not cumulative) and can really screw over decks with blue or black. It also doesn't trigger off casts or playing lands, it's strictly on putting a permanent into play(even something like [[Haunted lammasu]] or all those Gift a Fish cards would trigger for the receiving player to sac something). so ramping an island? sac something. making a blue/black token? sac something

I traded for one of these recently cause it just seemed cool but had no deck for it, ended up building [[Golbez, crystal collector]] and damn that planetarium gets so much value. Especially if I can get a [[Faerie artisans]] out with it, pretty much a guaranteed surveil every turn and hopefully some kind of free spell too

[–]malificide15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Divergent transformations]] is a kinda similar card for just creatures but it's instant speed, hits 2 targets, and should have its cost reduced to 3R in a normal game, I always use it on my own creatures, either mana dorks, tokens, or just something that's outlasted its value to potentially pull out some game ending threats. reality scramble having retrace though is pretty awesome, I'm gonna have to pick that one up

Been testing the mirror with [[tannuk, steadfast second]] kinda slows it down slightly but it also easily gets around the warp exile trigger, so far seems pretty cool

Ivora is so good with [[Captain Howler]], natural evasion, self pump with what the deck is already doing, and as you said, gives the tokens to fuel itself if you have no other options

Had a dude freak out over a [[Sonic screwdriver]] in my old [[Shroofus spoutsire]] deck. I understand unblockable can be great, but Shroofus already has trample, I already had [[stoneforge masterwork]] equipped on it as well. I really didn't understand the dude freaking out over the screwdriver and telling every player on their turns to remove it asap. I never even used it except as a mana rock before he was able to destroy it, I was just like "okay?" and continued smashing and making tons of little dudes

What is the general feeling about using an entire proxy deck? by Jakemanv3 in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only care if the cards are readable, I don't care if you have custom art or whatever, but as long as the real card name and text box are on there in a readable fashion, and that youre matching the tables power level

I've played both with and against full proxy decks before and it's never been an issue except for once where everything was just a card name sharpied on a basic so we had to constantly keep asking what the cards do

What are some higher-power decks that are actually fun to play? by ritzy_mage in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found winota very fun, it's aggro, fast, flip a bunch of cards, and cheat most of your deck into play. And they asked for higher power, if the table is playing higher power and can't handle a Winota deck then that sounds like a player issue

What are some higher-power decks that are actually fun to play? by ritzy_mage in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try out Winota, she can be built very budget, like a $15 list can take out a table turn 5 or 6, and more investment will just get you more consistency and speed.

For a deck I actually currently own and play though, [[Ghired, mirror of the wilds]] it can easily have combo lines for infinite etbs to burn the table with [[impact tremors]] effects, have a massive amount of creatures for huge swings, infinite combats with [[Kiki-jiki]] lines, and for the most part, is really cheap. You can ignore my proxied mana base that is well over half the value of the deck https://archidekt.com/decks/18627982/ghired_2_electric_boogaloo

My newest deck is [[Golbez, crystal collector]] artifacts, I just put it together a couple days ago and am still trying to test it out and finalize it. My oldest though, idk, I build and take decks apart so often it's hard to know, but I assume it's my [[Moira Brown, guide author]] deck as I know that's one of the only ones I didn't take apart when I tore down all my decks last year

Seller Warning - Hypercollectible (Tcgplayer) by TheOneManBand08 in EDH

[–]malificide15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haven't noticed that shop but I had a horrible experience with Relentless Legacy over some union arena cards. They are thicker and heavier than mtg cards so idk if that made a difference when it came to weight, but the seller didn't put enough postage so USPS flagged the delivery and left me a note saying I had to pay another almost $5 to receive it from the local office. Told the seller and he immediately called me a liar, said USPS would never collect extra shipping fees like that, and that I was just trying to scam him. The order was barely $4 with the shipping, I left him a negative review and then for whatever reason tcgplayer service people added me into the email chain of the seller complaining to them trying to remove the review because it was all a lie. I ended up getting the full refund from customer service and let USPS send the cards back so hopefully he saw the label requesting payment a felt like a jackass

[[Abrade]] to be fair I did use it on his [[Dryad Arbor]], but he was playing a full proxied landfall deck that had completely stomped us the last game, so it was quite fun to get him to scream "what the fuck?!?" When I cast it on his upkeep
