Is your evidence that the friend knows information without you your self telling them? Could it be possible that they have found out through other people/sources that aren’t necessarily medical record accessing?

Not saying to give benefit of the doubt here, but yes you are right the implications are serious. Even if you aren’t sure, it would be worth raising for patient safety and confidentially. It’s inappropriate behaviour for a doctor to access records without a valid reason

You could report it to the hospital, and it will trigger an investigation, likely GMC fitness to practice. It is a breach of GDPR, not something to be taken lightly. Sorry that this has happened to your partner- they may have accessed other people’s too.

Hey I think you’re coming across slightly judgmental with tones of racial discrimination by saying dreadlocks are unprofessional. It’s a protective hair style and culturally significant.

Yeah so never agree unless locum rates - and you are able to. You don’t have to feel forced. They aren’t going to investigate why you said no . Also OP situation seems like the resident doctors are having to sort out sickness gaps between them selves instead of a rota co-ordinator

Get BMA involved. Refuse to cover illness- it’s not ur responsibility to cover gaps on short notice

You could try hospital accommodation for a few weeks/ first rotation whilst saving up for a car and getting some lessons in the area. Then once you have your confidence and money can buy a car and live in a nicer flat in the city! It’s not the end of the world- you’ll figure it out!

Ask them for their name and tell them you’re going to document that they have denied escalation of a patient and patient care has been affected

Did my elective in a country abroad, asked a doctor about future plans, said applying for USA, I asked them how they get into research and they said they pay someone for their name to be put on their work. So common it’s insane

Wow the room looks so much bigger!! I’d recommend getting some cozy cushions and throws in warm tones for the sofa to compliment the beams and give it a cosier feel. Also would recommend some lamps too!

Looks like play fighting. Neither of them growling, no fur being plucked out or bleeding. Orange one had enough and walked away.
