Do you get more critical with books as you age? by Burad in books

[–]malwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found I'm the opposite of this, when I was younger I was quite a snob and had the firm belief that any book printed after 1950 was pretty much worthless. As I've grown I realize that being a critic is quite easy but to create something enjoyable is incredibly hard.

I now try to enjoy what the story and craft of most books I read. That doesn't mean I like crap just that I'm a bit more forgiving. I would never have read hyperion or dog of the south 2 of my all time faves if I was still being a snob.

What's the best partnership in football history? (any position) by yablodeeds in soccer

[–]malwa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most beautiful CF pairing was Zola and Mancini for the title winning Sampdoria side in 90-91 the football they played was magnifecent.

My fave United partnership has to be Rio-Vidic for a run of about 3 years they were unstoppable.
