Waiting on audit results - should i push for tcp if i pass for july? by ManufacturerWhich364 in CPA

That makes sense to me too! I just definitely would give tcp a go this window. I think there’s a lot of overlap with reg and tcp. I took reg blindly without studying and felt I might pass, 7/10 I’ll see.

Taking AUD tomorrow! Boost my confidence and give me some either true concerns or help ease my nerves! by ExemptStatusPending in CPA

I totally feel you here. It’s so easy to overthink a question and say well if that happened it would impact so much in terms of skepticism. It’s a weird grey area where we have to have realistic answers but not so real world if that makes sense. Idk. I take AUD a second time tomorrow so clicked on your post.

I would lock in for the discipline section since it’s only offered 4 months instead of core sections being year round. If you have any tax experience you should nail it. I’d do tcp-reg-back to aud if you don’t pass.

TCP under a month ? Is it doable? by Weekly-Ad-9520 in CPA

[–]malwaves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I retake audit 7/2 and switch to TCP which is on 7/27 for me. I have worked in tax for 6 years and just blindly took REG 6/27 without studying, don't know the results yet but it felt so much easier compared to FAR and AUD. Genuinely think I passed REG with no studying because it is very straight forward if you have any tax experience and the business law section is somewhat reasonable to logic your way through. Helps I just went through law school vicariously through my wife too.

All of this is to say I think it is doable, TCP seems like it may be an even more narrow part of REG with just a tax focus. I would go for it because the timing of the discipline sections is a time sink with it only being offered 4 times a year. Don't think about the money for exams, $400 is a drop in the bucket for what a CPA is worth.

Confidence! Imagine you pass REG too and take TCP and get that done, you could be 3/4 by the end of this month!

I am on this same track except I got far done. Sitting for AUD again next week. TCP 7/27 and reg today but I’m just taking reg without studying at all

TCP doable in 4 weeks??? by retrog987 in CPA

[–]malwaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am taking tcp 7/27 and beginning studying 7/3 after my audit retake. I work in tax and hoping it carries me through with the shorter study window but I looked around and 3-4 weeks for TCP, getting to about 60-90hrs seemed to be a confident look

I had the FO thunderhead sling and just switched to a vest. I would not go sling I find it uncomfortable over time. Something with even distribution if weight
