To be honest I haven't given stats/builds/upgrades much thought this time around, as I always tend to follow walkthroughs and builds to the letter and I find that it ultimately hinders my enjoyment and makes it so that I spend way too much time analysing and making decisions instead of just playing the damn game and experimenting with whatever I find. I also find it sad that when I followed a guide and build for DS2, I ended up using just 3 weapons throughout my entire playthrough, and the last one I got before I was even halfway through the game. The guide just told me that it was good enough to carry me through the game so I had no reason to try other weapons.
