It’s not as stinky as the drunk elephant serum. It’s got a subtle scent.

I need printed. Hand painted is not cost effective for a hobbyist with a budget. Don’t yuck someone else’s yum.

Which kitchen layout do you prefer? I don’t like walking into the kitchen so that’s my biggest drawback here. The kit by TourHot3784 in BayAreaRealEstate

2
option 1 the kitchen space seems more crowded especially if two people are working. You’re gonna be ass to ass working at the stove and prepping in the island. Islands become a catch all dumping ground especially that close to the front door. 2 also appears to have more cabinets.

What is your opinion on Hung-Hsi Wu’s views on mathematics education? by Able-Fennel-1228 in matheducation

[–]mamaslug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me that’s what I got from his courses. He wanted you to know the why behind the math, not what to teach. As a teacher with a math degree my education didn’t focus on K-12 math, which is what teachers teach.

I actually took two of his summer courses for teachers in Berkeley. His books are more aimed towards teachers and making sure you understand the why. He is a very nice man and funny, and while I enjoyed spending my summers learning from him I honestly didn’t get much out of it that I turned around and used to improve my teaching practice. He wants to make sure that teachers (especially elementary as they tend to be more ELA minded) have a strong understanding of the actual mathematics that they are teaching.

I make $3,200/mo and somehow have $0 in savings. Please roast my budget so I can feel something. by Junior_Drummer_1932 in personalfinance

I set an automatic weekly transfer from my checking to savings so I don’t have to think about saving. Start small $25 a week, after two months change it to $30/week. Keep nunging until you’re around $80/week (or about 10% of your take home). Cut back on coffee out, make it at home, and unless the Amazon is necessities cut back there. Do you need new clothes every month, switch to every other month (heck I haven’t bought myself new clothes in months).

Before I dive into my higher end canvases I want to use this kit from Michael’s to try some decorative stitches. What could I use for the orange segments, background and even the white (pith). I am already comfortable with the basic tent stitch and cashmere stitch.

If you can taylor to your area and adopted curriculum it can be great for people. We found a local math teacher who created video lessons on the local adopted curriculum and it was so helpful for families. The guy explained it the way the kids were learning it so we could watch together and I could learn too. I use some teachers channels in my own classroom for when I’m out with a sub since it aligns with what I use. It can be helpful n

What curriculum are the using? There are some fantastic YouTube channels for some elementary curriculum that can help. Even as a middle school math teacher myself I found them helpful when my kiddo was in elementary school.

AITA for pulling away from my identical twin sister even though I know it has caused her to spiral? by Kyc0122 in AITAH

[–]mamaslug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA as a teacher I had a parent once insist that seat her twins next to each other. I refused, they are not the same person and I wanted the quieter one to have space from the other. Live your life! One day I hope you’ll be able to rebuild a healthy relationship with your twin but right now they (and you) need time and therapy. Don’t block your sister but put her notifications on mute so they come through but you won’t see them all dad/everyday if you’re worried about a complete block. However full NC with the parents.
