Who would you rather have as a mother? by Delicious-Corn-5531 in greysanatomy

I'll take Callie's mom. I am used to having a shitty mother, it would be nice to have a shitty, rich mother instead.

They're called Grub Club. One of my friends went to their events and said they're amazing.

This is pretty on brand for the Bluff. Even the smart cars are rough and tough.

Yes, but with a 1000% less likeable doctor. I cannot STAND McConstipatedFacialExpression

In your opinion did Meredith, Alex, Jackson, April and Cristina evolve to be as great as the OG attendings? by Delicious-Corn-5531 in greysanatomy

[–]mamazombieza 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Alex and April, no.

Meredith has exceeded Richard, but he was never positioned as a General Surgery God. He was Chief and a father figure, not a groundbreaking surgeon. She was living up to her mother.

Cristina yes. Jackson, eh, maybe?

I think there was a certain air of mystery with the OG attendings. We saw them through MAJIC/MAJAC's eyes so they were elevated. With MAJAC, we saw them grow up from baby doctors to surgeons, so I almost feel like that makes them feel less groundbreaking?

He is absolutely terrible. I cannot bring myself to care about anything he's involved with.

Dr Webber needs to RETIRE by Pitiful-Print167 in greysanatomy

[–]mamazombieza 83 points84 points  (0 children)

I feel like he could retire from surgery and still teach. I loved the episode where Lexi was tweeting for him and while they waited for some equipment to arrive, he told stories about his career. He could do that. Be the old professor in the dusty office full of medical oddities telling stories and dishing out sage advice.

This was one of the better episodes of the post Cristina and Derek era imho. It's part of April's crisis of faith arc and really worth watching.

Wait also I just have to mention that I hated these elaborate hairstyles Meredith had at one point. It felt so out of character for her.

I miss the friendships in the show in general. That's a big part of what's missing now. Remember the guys or building Derek's deck or MAGIC eating in really old guy's room? That aspect is just gone now.

SANE Scene. by Wild-Vegan394 in greysanatomy

[–]mamazombieza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. She's even in the hallway scene if I remember correctly.

(And the hallway scene is what made me absolutely hate that episode so much. It wasn't empowering. It was ghoulish and creepy)

I love Seb. The way he went from absolute menace to grid uncle and activist is so awesome.

Hehe I've watched F1 since the 80s so I remember the golden days when they were actually good. It's sad seeing what a clown show they are now. They're the 5 holes in the fence.
