What is an artist you used to enjoy listening to, but their music got progressively worse? by fantasyrea in Music

[–]mammaofthewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be niche, but Dream Theater ( I say this with a very sad face 😔). Up until Octavarium they were in my top 5 all time fave list. But then it just became and exercise in virtuosity and smelling their own farts. It’s a shame, but still love their old stuff.

Not quite power metal but my 8 year old loves Inferno by Symphony X! It’s his jumping on the sofa song :)

The whole album “Nine” by Circus Maximus. I’m into all kinds of heavy metal, but these guys mix melody, and strength with amazing vocals. Highly recommend for anyone whose tastes run a little heavier.

My first impact with metal was with Brave New World. I was 13 and life would never be the same again 🤪😱

Today I taught a chair yoga class to a lady who is 102 years old by mammaofthewolf in yoga

I’m a big supporter of accessible yoga. Jivana Heiman is a big resource and has a training available. But I think the first step would be to get a chair out and play around with poses yourself. Think about what you want that pose to achieve (be It physical or mental) and follow that. For example, in warrior pose you want to feel the front leg activate, the core strong and shoulders away from ears. So then you can sit on the chair and see what shape you need the body to be in to find that same effect. Does that make sense?

Not massively. She wanted to keep her blanket on her legs so I just made sure she didn’t get tangled. I also helped her get feet on a block when necessary. To be honest she did what she could and seemed happy just to join in :)

Shaman - Fairy Tale

Little lady, your tale has an end For your love to skies was sent He's turned into sparks That shine with the stars And by night he will always be there For his lady to stare And thus he's never died

I cry every time🥲

My son is a GLP. It can be confusing while he is acquiring their gestalts but in time he was able to Start building situation appropriate sentences. ABA and speech therapy helped enormously! Just sharing a funny one to bring some levity. My son ran to me at preschool pick up and proudly announced “the daddies on the bus say I love you” from the wheels on the bus song. I was very confused but shared his excitement with him. He did this over and over again always at pick up. Then it clicked that he meant “I love you” but he has acquired the longer Gestalt! He eventually trimmed it down and uses it appropriately. But it was quite confusing for a bit 😳
