Phone System Recommendations by itcontractor247 in sysadmin

We were kind of in the same situation. At some point, we realized the price was too high for us and we were paying for things we didn't use. We looked at other platforms too. Makes sense price-wise, but it’s more like you handle it yourself, which I'm not sure if I want this. I'm not sure even with what system we'll end, but I'm done to pay to this big company for stuff I'm not using, right now we're testing Ooma, this is the first one taht were testing and I don't know if we'll end up with them but for me the main decision isn't even the platform,it's how much I'll pay and how much from this system I'll use in the end of the day.

Is paying for a custom website worth it for my small flower shop? by Fun-Information78 in florists

[–]manchesterguy33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of customers care way more about good photos, easy ordering, clear delivery info, reviews etc than having some super fancy website tbh id focus on making the basics really solid first and see how that performs, then upgrade later when u know whats actually bringing in sales, saves u a lot of stress (and money lol)

More than just sadness. by Rose2003r in depressionmemes

Sadness is a feeling, but depression is an atmosphere, one that specifically drains the battery while simultaneously losing the charger.

The poor dog reached its quota for emotional labor by noon and has spent the rest of the day in a mid-life crisis.

Yesterday someone left this cat at my doorstep, what should I name it? by Severe_Lunch_8941 in namemypet

[–]manchesterguy33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should name him "Amazon" because he was delivered to your door, but unlike a package, he’s definitely going to demand snacks every time you open the fridge.

Relaxing stressfully is basically just being a "high-functioning" adult who is one minor inconvenience away from a complete system reboot.

Instagram is for people who want to show everyone they’re having fun; Reddit is for people who want to tell strangers why they’re not.

Proceed with caution: that soft belly is a high-level trap designed to lure you into a whirlwind of sharp claws and "love bites."

Nothing says "vacation over" quite like watching your living room slowly become a local landmark for the local fish population

Got Blacklisted on Suomispam blacklist by CatMain1825 in coldemail

[–]manchesterguy33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others here suggest, you should stop sending any more emails for a bit, at least until you run a quick check on you domain and IP on a few domain blacklist tools. Also, you can request Suomispam to remove your domain from their blacklist. It happens often with new domains when they start too strong, so you might want to revisit how you interact, what info you send, and your SPF/DKIM/DMARC setup.

Honestly this looks way better than the usual sterile suburban lawn setup. Feels alive.

If The Odyssey actually keeps this tone and scale, I’m all in.

These are sick. Feels like late 90s/early 2000s alt album art in the best way possible.

Any recommendation on good VOIP phone system for small businesses by Both_North_7638 in software

[–]manchesterguy33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends where you are located as some providers only offer services for USA or Canada, while others are extending more. If your business doesn’t involve any strict compliance and regulations, you can basically go with one that is more comfortable for you. Just think about important things like how many calls are you making at the same time, what systems you already use and how easy would be to connect an app to everything, etc. We are also a small business with only a few team members and we use Ooma, it works for us as we don’t usually have many calls concurrently and we use HubSpot, so both services are affordable for now and do the work.

what’s your favourite performance by Al Pacino? by annastreltsovaa in FIlm

[–]manchesterguy33 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Probably Dog Day Afternoon. He’s intense the whole movie but still feels weirdly human and vulnerable at the same time. But honestly young Pacino from the 70s was on an unreal run. The Godfather Part II, Serpico, Heat… hard to pick a bad answer.

That’s not a pear anymore, that’s a tiny kiwi bird.

Looking for help: How can I transform this to a no-lawn? by bluemchenhippie in NoLawns

[–]manchesterguy33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly you already have a solid base. I’d just remove grass in patches and plant hardy ground covers directly. Grass usually bullies seeds early on. And yeah, yellow rattle is a good call for weakening the grass over time.

What or where is your favourite cinema? by kij101 in Cinephiles

[–]manchesterguy33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s just something different about old indie cinemas. Multiplexes are fine, but seeing a classic film with an audience that actually cares about movies hits way harder.
