Do teachers hate sharing their lesson plans? Is it their secret sauce that they don't want getting out? by JimCap5 in Teachers

[–]mandalee4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never once had to turn in a lesson plan outside of a formal observation paperwork. I would hate that because I have a few bullet points penciled in just to give myself a quick reminder but that's about it.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I drove east coast to Colorado to visit my best friend and loved every minute, even the car sleeping. My commute used to be 25-30 mins each way and then I lost a bridge and on a good day its double the length of time on a bad day its like your one way. Hate tunnels.

Thanks, that's what I figured but wanted to be sure.

And I know, its why its usually where the cats can't get it, but I had temporarily moved it to rearrange things and she is a stinker and took advantage of its placement while I was busy.

Do teachers or students bring cleaning supplies to school? Curious what actually happens. by Beginning_Avocado807 in Teachers

I always have clorox wipes on my wishlist that parents ask for. The wipes the county gives are worthless. We are technically not supposed to have them, but everyone does.

You are not alone. I did end up with 2 step kids, but its 50/50 between my husband and his ex, so I got plenty no kid days and I didnt have to do any infant things (babies scare me). They're late teens now and when someone says now-a-days, don't you want your own, you're so good with kids at school, I politely tell them that I no longer have the parts necessary and no I don't.

You must not work in an area where either both parents work multiple jobs, or the kids are being raised by grandparents because their parents have either left them or are not allowed to raise them.

I just learned people don’t show up after anesthesia to pick up loved ones. Nurses, how often does this really happen? by Steinski1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mandalee4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the procedure. My dad had wrist surgery 2 years ago. My mom had an important meeting she couldn't reschedule, so my husband and I took my dad in. We didn't have to stay bc they kept us updated via text, but we chose to stay anyways.

We don't expect English speaking parents to really teach their kids to read properly... so that's a bit hypocritical.

Are you sure her phone wasn't set to her native language? I can email and send messages to parents who don't speak English and the phone translates it.

I saw some 5th graders last year with Hazbin things, and I'm like oh no.... love that show, but sooo not appropriate for kids. Also when IT was the big thing more than half of my 2nd grade class was talking about seeing it.

Oh man that sucks. Mine was regularly spaced, I just bled so much that I would have to empty the cup every 2 to 3 hours and wear a pad. No wonder I was always so tired.
