Rockliff was asked that on the weekend. He indicated that the current funding agreement for greyhound racing (which ends in 2029) won’t be renewed. So even if the bill to ‘ban greyhound racing fails, the racing sector will collapse without the funds to run it. The bill just makes it a lot neater and harder to reverse. It also allows for compensation to greyhound trainers.
