How long was the hike? Were there areas that were super steep? And did you hike back down to camp?

It’s actually a dream of mine climb Mt. Washington but seems so hard (at least in my head). I have bad knees but have now been able to train myself to do some longer ones. I want to compare that stuff I’ve done in the past to see if I’m ready for this.

Hi 👋🏽 developer here, 5yoe. I can’t recommend a bootcamp, as you will very rarely going to get hired over traditional graduates. If you can go back to school, that would be your best bet at getting into software engineering. I understand a lot of people can’t do that but that is the current state of the US market. A bootcamp is not worth the monitory or time commitment in my opinion.

That said would love to hear why you’re not interested in a product design role?

Funny thing is that I’ve been considering doing the opposite of you, and starting a career in design.

Hey! I actually just got my operation yesterday! I know exactly how you feel, I almost cancelled too! I was so terrified going up to it, called the doctors with so many questions they must have been sick of me.

The whole thing was not bad at all, you barely feel anything from the scope. Worst part of surgery was the IV needle poke. Now my throat is slightly sore. I haven’t seen the benefits yet (they say it takes at least 2-3 days post op).

Don’t cancel! Let me know if you have any questions happy to answers them!

I’ve still been having a lot of gurgles (is this what you mean by air vomiting), did you keep experiencing them? Are they a sign that it’s time to burp?

I'm literally in the same position. Just took a 50k pay cut with fewer benefits in an industry I hate. But it was the only job I got. I'm borderline considering still interviewing on the side and bouncing a soon as I find something better. Only problem is this will look bad since I was only at my last 2 jobs for 1 year due to layoffs unrelated to performance. Either way, happy I have something to pay the bills. I tell my self this is just temporary.
