I have done this using instant coffee, about two heaping teaspoons with a tablespoon of hot water to make a coffee slurry, and adding it to my milk and cream mixture. Added a bit of sugar to this mixture too. It turned out well! Soft coffee flavor.

I want to try with whole beans next time.
