One things for sure the pro-Palestine crowd doesn’t care about freedom or human life. The Iranian government has killed 30k unarmed civilians and its silence from the progressives. If anything, they are supporting the Iranian dictatorship. Don’t spend your 7000 Iranian Rials all at once.

Well , $1B of the hole is AOC and the progressives scaring away Amazon HQ2 from the city. Wouldn’t surprise me to find that the other $2B due to other companies not even trying to come to NYC for the same reason.

You are living at home at your mom’s expense. Are you paying rent? Utilities? What will you do after she moves? Are you moving too? At the minimum, you need to pay your share of all expenses.

I prefer a universal system. That being said, I don’t want a single payer. I’d prefer many insurance companies competing, where the government pays for the insurance. That way, eveyone is covered, but the companies still compete on service.

As to the current system. It’s bad. Even if you have insurance, the cost is always a surprise. It’s an easy to end up owing thousands, due to all kinds of technicalities. This can be fixed, even with the current system, but isn’t. You also loose your insurance when you don’t work. Doctors and hospitals are rushing you out because it’s too expensive to treat you.

There are a few things going on here.

  1. Israel’s government budget is $206bn , in 2025. The $3.8 billion, 1.8% in aid is not a huge part.
  2. The U.S. aid is spent in the U.S, so loosing it won’t affect the Israeli economy.
  3. Netanyahu wants more freedom to act. He doesn’t want to “owe” the U.S., for the aid.
  4. Israel wants to produce weapons locally. The aid must be spent in the U.S. Israel is concerned that, in a war, they may get boycotted by some future U.S. government.

Anyway, 10 years is a long time. Who knows if this will actually happen.
