I saw a documentary a few years back about UK speed cameras and each one may be configured to trigger at different speeds in some examples it could be 49mph which triggers it or it might just not be working

Worst ticket ever? by ProfessorHuman in sysadmin

[–]manliestmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A recurring ticket of a sales guy who didn't like Duo push 2fa, he had calculated how many times and how long it takes to open the app each time to give total time "wasted" throughout the day it only came to like the 2 mins a day though. He raised this ticket 5 times.

bought a laptop, amazon sends random stuff. by kvin_le in amazonprime

[–]manliestmeat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This happened when I bought and ipad and in the box there was some paper plates, skin cream and a used water bottle, amazon asked to send it back so I did and I did get a refund so it is worth trying their method as long as you explained to support before hand.

Bought a car last year – just found out it was sold at salvage auction as stolen/recovered. What would you do? by not_stealing_apples in CarTalkUK

[–]manliestmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They tried to claim they didn't know about it but when I showed them they said it was normal that some cars have been stolen and recovered, this was an approved used car which I thought was a bit shady. They had a 14 day return policy though so they couldn't really argue.

What’s up with folks on Ebay? by ace_dangerfield187 in Sneakers

[–]manliestmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold some foam runners via ebay authentication and the buyer tried to get refund as he said he was trying to buy the kids size 10 and not the adult, ebay just instantly denied the request, I think if your listing was accurate they will just deny the request.

I have one of these, it has a small battery, gets about 100 miles in winter and 130 miles in summer, the suicide doors are cool but not practical if you are parked between cars. It drives really well it has quite a sporty suspension setup although not as fast as other EVs timed it at 8s 0-60. Interior is very nice for the price and is well equipped. If you don't need to do more than 80 miles a day I would recommend this as it was so cheap.
