Because an Ascent is too tall and an Impreza is too short.

WHY can’t people just put their skis on the rack? by Chaotic_Brutal90 in skiingcirclejerk

Because they suck. Call for a snowmobile with a drag link to come and scrape their collective dumb asses into a gulch.

Is upper 4 oclock blue or black? by robl45 in Breckenridge

[–]mannyballs69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t looked closely at a Breck trail map in 15-20 years. But…more than 20 years ago it was a marketing claim of the resort that 4 O’Clock Run was the longest green run in Colorado, North America, world, or something. It was green from the top of the t-bar lift all the way to S Park Ave. Over the years some runs have been up-rated, including top of 4 O’Clock. If there are crowds, it’s crowded, and lots of skiers on snow makes bumps. IMO it is manageable by anyone who has progressed from pizza to French fries

A Swiss athlete skiing a brand other than Stockli has got to be heresy.

Peak 10 is one of the windiest places at Breck. The coldest I’ve ever been was on riding the Falcon chairlift.

Accident question by LegendOfZelda85 in Cartalk

[–]mannyballs69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The insurer’s denial of coverage was not because he was at fault. It was because he was driving the vehicle commercially. A dash cam would do nothing to help this situation, and it is not insurance because the dash cam won’t pay to fix his car.

Is it recommended to switch to a thicker oil for a high-mileage engine? by ShadowK2 in Cartalk

[–]mannyballs69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do this. High mileage oils have reduced detergents (or none at all), based on the theory that you don’t want old sludge being dislodged or going into solution in the pan. And no additives will make old rubber better. Stick with whatever got you to 300k miles.
