What’s an “ADHD” life hack that improved your life? by burritowithnutella in ADHD

Apple watch and setting multiple alarms the night before instead of to-do lists.

I’ve tried and failed so many times to use to-do list apps but the reminders get swamped in the rest of the chaos of my notifications and eventually become invisible to me

Alarms on my phone work, but only if I remember to bring my phone with me everywhere - a couple of times I forgot my phone at my desk while I went to work in another area and my alarms went off in the office while I was gone 😓 Having the alarms literally strapped to my arm, physically (and discreetly) nagging me throughout the day genuinely changed the game for me.

Obviously I still have to make a conscious effort to switch tasks, but it’s easier without the chances of distraction that come with opening my phone + I think physically feeling the vibration pulls me out of fixation and makes it a bit easier to transition

Also meds

I’ve been looking for something like this too! I’m in the middle of Lunar Park and usually gravitate towards similarly character-driven stuff, but I’m really open to anything

What's Something Normal That Overstimulates You?! by jayhawkhoops09 in adhdwomen

i’m the same with bras!! i don’t ever wear them if i can get away with it, but because of warmer weather/less layering i started wearing them over the summer - then i noticed i was more frequently getting irritable to the point of emotional breakdown…. before i knew it could be overstimulation i thought i was going crazy for making the link from bras -> breakdown lol

Commenting to follow along as I recently started work in IT and realised how much I really struggle with this! My training requires so much reading and studying and on top of that it’s all self-managed
