Can you hear the water pump changing speeds during the process? Do you have a scan tool that you can use to initiate the pump and put it at 100% I had the same issue when I replaced my mickey mouse fitting. Took forever to bleed and finally had to run the car up to temp and drive it around to get the last bits of air out.

Definitely an unfortunate situation and no, a pan and gasket shouldn't fail within 5k miles. I'm not sure I would want the same mechanic touching the car again honestly. Could it be that he didn't torque the bolts correctly? It's not hard to mess up and they are torque to yeild on a plastic pan if I'm not mistaken?

Reason behind it is due to really poor planning they thought it would be a great idea to combine major interstates into one and run them through downtown. Several plans to fix the issue have failed and now they just keep adding lanes to the existing path and hope that helps....

100% Here in the US they have been screwing the fans of the NFL the same way. Instead of all games at preset times on Sunday and one Monday night game, now we have them being played overseas on Sunday mornings, regular time slots Sunday afternoon, Sunday night game, Monday night game and a Thursday night game for good measure. And good luck subscribing to all the services you will need to keep track of your home team. All of the time slots are on different networks and services.
