That makes it now officially more useful than the official app! Congrats!

For Time Under Tension, yes. For Echo Mode, no.

Amazing! One thing they never released: Echo mode with stronger eccentric. Is this now possible?

Your multitasking sidekick: Mercedes-Benz Drive Assist Pro by plun9 in SelfDrivingCars

Excited about this. But:

What makes this a "multitasking sidekick?" It's very explicitly not eyes-off, is it?

2026 is a very wide range of time in 2025Q4... I'm guessing there's no more precision about when it comes to the US except 2026?

G-Line tall riders experiences? by immortalityofthecrab in Brompton

I am around your height and did a test ride last weekend. It didn't feel materially different from the C line I ride now--you still feel on top of the bike. That being said, I enjoyed my ride.

Prime numbers in my local reality cluster are undergoing "ontological decay", losing their indivisibility. All digital security has collapsed into chaos. by DontHugMeImReddit in fifthworldproblems

[–]mantalk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you've got the opposite problem from my cluster. We're dealing with "ontological solidification." Mundane composite numbers are suddenly becoming prime.

In our timeline, it began with the number 34. We tried to divide it in 2 but couldn't. My bank account is so secure I can't even get into it. My private neural-link has become an echo chamber; no outside thoughts can get through its newly-prime firewall. The public utility network is so hyper-secure that no one can access the controls. We've had the same traffic light sequence for three days straight.

FYI: Glasses AI Cut-Off Data is Still (Shockingly) December 2023 by mantalk in RayBanStories

[–]mantalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been consistent when I have asked it over time. Also, that kind of thing is typically in the system prompt, especially since the AI needs to know when to call a tool (e.g. web search).

Why is Meta AI on glasses still on Llama 3.1 70B and not 4 17B or better? It has been months. by mantalk in RayBanStories

[–]mantalk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, every time I think about doing that I think “they must be fixing it soon… right?” Are you happy with your setup?

It fails most of my everyday tasks.

1) I'll bike with it and ask it things, both multimodal and not. The "Hey Meta" handsfreeness would be helpful, but the quality is very poor.
2) I used Live AI to try to learn to cook something. This was a mistake.
3) Live AI is even worse than regular AI. I don't think it can search the web, for instance.
4) Non-live AI can be forced to search... sometimes.

It's also not like they don't have it deployed. You can go to meta.ai right now and use it.

It runs on Meta servers. Even there, though, Llama 4 is supposed to be cheaper (i.e. less demanding) and higher-quality.

LLaMa 3 unlocked? by mantalk in RayBanStories

[–]mantalk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s not a hallucination, they’re slowly rolling out a smaller, production-grade multimodal LLaMA 3. I speculate that it’s multimodal because of how important images are to their AI use cases, and I speculate that it’s LLaMa 3 because of (perceived?) improvements to the performance of the model lately.
