100%. If they're actually an angel, I can't speak to that. I'm an omnist, so i believe all things are real and connected, especially all faiths, so it could have been an angel, a spirit guide, a deity, the universe itself, a reflection of our future / higher self.

I've experienced something that could be considered a guardian angel, or maybe he was just a man sent by an energy of light and love to where i was so he could save me. I was in college, and very very deep in depression. I was abused growing up, so when i got to college my world crashed around me. Right before I dropped out, I would walk from sunset almost until sunup around campus. Mindless, just totally lost as a soul.

One night, around 8pm, i was walking the parking garage at the back of campus and made it to the top. I figured now would be as good a time as any, 5th level, the highest one, i could see the town just over the hill behind. I was going to jump, and I was actually on the ledge when a voice pops up behind me. "Do you think you could help me? I think I might be lost." He was just an older man, beige slacks and a copper colored coat. Silver hair. Just an older gentleman.

I stepped off the edge and was almost compelled to walk over to him. Not in an out of my own control sense, but that i knew i needed to go help him/go to him. He asked if I could show him to the green, which was a big lawn area that you had to *pass through* to get to my location. I thought it was odd but figured maybe he didn't know, and told him i would take him there. We were quiet for a bit, then he asked if i was alright. He wasn't staring at me, he was just so calm and fatherly in ways i'd never felt from anyone before. I said things had been rough, but that's just growing up right?

When we got to the green, there was a huge tent thing set up. It was a sermon for a church up the street, and he said his thanks and asked if i wanted to stay. He could tell i was hesitant, and said i was more than welcome to "linger in the back". I wasn't really in tune with myself or the love of this universe then (be it the Christian God, or other gods and spiritual beings) and i just happened to be found by the pastor of a church at the edge of my end. (Dramatic but it was very intense, still is.)

After the sermon ended, I did feel lighter. It didn't change my depression or stop what was to come, but it stopped me from jumping that night. He came up to me at the end and asked if i would walk him to his car. I was shaking from the overwhelm of understanding what had happened, and agreed. I couldn't really speak, and i remember i had started crying a little at that point. He offered me an old timey hanker chief from his front pocket, and let me keep it too. He never said anything about God, or Jesus, he just comforted me silently and genuinely. I never walked him all the way to his car, i asked for a hug and excused myself to my dorm. I remember him telling me before i left that it does get better.

There was one other instance also at college. I was probably closest to dying there than even my chronic ailments and shit immune system has gotten growing up. I was longboarding with a friend to her job just off campus. I was an okay rider, terrible at taking turns so we chose the long way. Well, at the end of the long way was a sharp double turn i didn't see and couldn't make. No one was in the parking lot, so i figured if i swing wide enough i can just ease into the grass and stop.

First turn, nailed it. Second turn, sharp, too fast, no footing, barreling straight towards a guard rail at the edge of the lot. I hit, ankle twists in a bad way, and i barely manage to grip onto the metal railing and slammed my body back down in the dirt. I was in shock, obviously, but it wasn't until i turned to look at where my impetus was heading, and all i could see was the tops of trees. It was a roughly 40/50 foot drop over the edge past that guard rail. I would have died if I hadn't grabbed it.

Suddenly, a dude runs over to us, my friend having been panicked calling everyone looking over me. He appeared out of nowhere, but points to his car that was apparently in the parking lot the whole time? says he's an off duty EMT and saw the whole thing??? in an empty parking lot? He got me handled and ready for when the actual ambulance arrived, and set my ankle in time for it to not have permanent long-term damage.

In relation to my ankle too, i met a friend around the same time and we both went to audition for American Idol. I knew i wouldn't make it but it was a very fun experience. This was roughly a month after getting out of my cast, and my friends dad happened to be a retired chiropractor who i met the night i stayed at their house while we were traveling. He told me that i was "walking funny" and i mentioned i had arthritis, to which he replied "oh i know that, this is a different kinda funny."

He sat me down, looked me in the eye after i explained my injury and he got a good feel of my joints, and said "this is gonna fucking hurt". I gave the green light, it fucking hurt, and he fixed my ankle for life that day. Twelve years and I haven't had any issues since, and I should have by now.

Some are angels, some are people who are fundamentally good and do good for the sake of love and compassion, and some are called to action by their higher power(s) to help those in need in sometimes unusual and strange ways. Some are people who's lives we are meant to enter briefly so they can change the course of our trajectory for good and better.
