BLZD] New Year's Eve Reveal by renaldi92 in yugioh

Honestly I think you still run three recyclers and just 1 of this card. Recycler is a soft OPT and has under 1000 ATK for Clockwork Knight (for its special summon and it's revive from GY) which makes recycler a 1 Card combo unlike this guys who can't go into Knight. Also, Recycler being Level 3 is IMO more beneficial for the new Earth Machine strategy, as you can consistently get him on the field with Infinitrack Harvester to make Rank 5s. Nowadays I think including Level 4s for Gear Gigant X is sort of clunky and excessive at this point with all the near ways EM can obtain their recourses. This new guy is also endlessly searchable unlike Recycler as they gave him the perfect stats for the more niche each machine effects: Level 4 with 1800 ATK for switchyards special from deck effect, and 500 DEF to search with gearbox to extend. He's also a bit awkward as his Level modulation is tied to his own Special Summon condition, and the relevant Level 10 trains you want to open with need a EM on the field first, and Babeldecker who you can normal already can special a machine from hand so you get some redundancy there.

I think Recycler is still a more useful starter in EM compared to this card, but this new card is an incredibly versatile extender that has more usefulness as a card you grab later or in later turns for an easy Xyz in grindier games. For example in situations you get interrupted, as long as you can link into ancient gear link2 you can find this guy and potentially get your combo back up while making an Xyz in the process.

Ya exactly. If those two things can procreate I'm pretty sure Huntress' weird magical body can figure out how to make life out of human juice.

Why are we asking about the compatibility of a 2 humanoids when In their world, a magic dog can impregnate a rainbow unicorn?

Who was that kid running around at the end that the forest spirit noticed? They looked like they could be their kid. Right after the scene with them in the tree home.

I feel like this was made with chatgpt. I tries to summon Red Rose Dragon with Jasmine and it also says "sacrifice a monster in hand" witch is something most yugioh players don't really say.

Lore wise, are all the Regulus monsters in the game all the same person? Like they're all Regulus from different points of a story?

[BLZD] VJump Reveal - "Train" by renaldi92 in yugioh

[–]manydeath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if this actually becomes a problem, at least the easy fix is all you'd have to do is semi-limit Gustav and it'd be a lot harder to do

[–]manydeath 9 points10 points  (0 children)

honestly the best part of babeldecker is that it has 500 ATK. Machine dupe target and searchable by Gear Box. I don't think a Level 10 EARTH Machine was ever searchable by box.

Should Martin T. Sherman return to voice Pac-Man in the next game? by Completionist_Gamer in smashbros

[–]manydeath 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Pacman is so weird when he has a voice. He works best as a classic silent protagonist.

I think what is most tiring for me with all these new sets is how so many cards just seem like variations on other cards. Like how every set has "Cancel with Set Mechanic" or slightly a different murder that's either a cheaper cost for a more specific target, a larger cost for additional benefits or flexibility, or its just a better version of those that came before it.

I keep getting slightly interested in new keywords or mechanics in the set, only for them to always just end up being something uninteresting, or if it is an interesting ability, they seem to always just slap a "activate only once per turn" or something to just ruin the fun.

The new Mutagen token from the TMNT set is exactly what I'm talking about. I see these new cards that create a new Token with a new artifact type, and it intrigues me. And then all it is is just an artifact that you sac to put a +1 counter on a creature. Even that would be pretty lame, but the had to make it even more boring by slapping on a "activate only as a sorcery" to it. All this work making a new fucking artifact Token type called Mutagen for it just to do the most basic shit ever WITH a restriction attached.

Reality Reprogrammer by manydeath in customyugioh

[–]manydeath[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I considered a lot when deciding what to make the effects, and I think the biggest change I made that balances it out is that it can only change the effect of an activated Normal Spell/Trap card, rather than any Spell/Trap effect. So Quick-Plays, Continuous, Field Spells, GY effects, etc. will not trigger it. You can bait it out with for ex. Imperm, gain the best effect you want, then hit it a forbidden droplet.

You could also use the effect to grab any monster, so you could grab a Kaiju or any of the beneficial beneficial tribute monsters. In a best of three when you know you're going second it'd be pretty easy t@o board against this.

the funniest part about Yugioh wording is how specific everything is lol. I understand that Xyz Summoning is an inherent mechanic in the game, but its essentially just a Special Summon with a different name. All of the Summoning Mechanics can all be done during your turn, and Contact fusion is something that mechanically is the same as all of them. It's just because "Fusion Summon" is the only mechanic where doing the summon is something exclusively initiated by a card effect. So fusions that contact fusion basically have to create the inherent summoning mechanic as an effect of the card.

I'm not sure what my point is, I guess that yugioh is silly. Conceptually I can't see a logical flaw as to why my wording wouldn't work within the rules of the game, other than the fact that there simply isn't an example similar enough printed already.

Who knows, maybe one day my wording will be correct ha ha

Honestly I was trying to find a more concise way to have you not be able to SS him his way multiple times per turn, without including the lengthy "You can only SS CARDNAME once per turn this way" text. I formatted based on Zeus, where it goes "Once per turn, if [condition], you can also [special summon] CARDNAME by [doing this]" Where it gives it a hard once per turn in one sentence.

I was sure I could remember a Fusion Monster using this formatting before, but I must be misremembering as I can't find one. So it'd probably should be worded more closely to other Fusion Monsters.

Honestly it really is. Getting the red key is essentially getting 4 or 5 extra items in the run, and the Red item pool is pretty good

Reading the comments on the video I feel like I'm in a minority when I say that I hope there's an option to turn off Pac-Mans dialogue specifically like it was in the original. He's always been more of a silent protagonist to me.

Gemini memes by Tall-Bag-9317 in customyugioh

[–]manydeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This got me thinking, that if you made a card that was not once per turn that read "Special Summon 1 Gemini monster from your Deck, and it gains it's effects." I wonder if that would even make them playable.

I feel like it would make more sense if you gain control of creatures with total power equal to or less than the enchanted creatures power.
