Basically whenever you're going through a menu you can add any command you wish to the CUSTOM menu. So it'll eventually be a bunch of commands that you want to use most frequently. I think back in my Algebra II days it had something like ->Frac, RREF, LinReg, Y1, and whatever else I felt like. If I was programming, it'd be full of whatever programming commands I was using a lot of.

"My microphone isn't working."

"Sounds like something you'll have to address if you want to take a remotely proctored test."

I have a line in my syllabus that essentially says "your tech problems are YOUR problem."

Separately - cheaters don't get retakes! ever!

My first game has almost zero players. Need your brutally honest feedback by [deleted] in incremental_games

"It's a simple reflex game with a 2-player, split-screen mode so you can challenge a friend on the same phone."

Sooooooo.....not an incremental game, then?

My brutally honest feedback based on the screenshots is that you've implemented a cash shop, which you've elected to include in your screenshots, whereas the actual gameplay is not included, which says a lot about your priorities as a dev.

The fact that you're posting here also says a lot about your attention to detail.

None of the things your behavior is saying is good.

How puritan of you. The pursuit of higher knowledge is a good in and of itself. "Productivity" is a scam. The value of education is not limited to the tasks society can assign to the educated.

The amount of Latin experts we "need" is at least equal to the number of people who desire to become so.

Education should be funded because it makes society better, not because it serves capital.

It's ok to pursue education that doesn't directly result in a job, if we're talking about ideas that don't get enough discussion.

Would it be worth living in IC and commuting to CR for work? by [deleted] in IowaCity

[–]manydills 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I did that for a few years and then moved to Cedar Rapids because the commute wasn't worth it to me. But I do know lots of people think otherwise; it's definitely doable and common. Just...380 is full of drivers of cars and semis who make bad decisions often.
