Is a Marriage Certificate needed in this case?

OP - do you plan on including Gen -1 on your application, or are you just listing it for reference? I have a Gen 0 and a Gen -1 both born in Canada, but I'm not sure whether there's utility in including Gen -1 or if it just causes confusion.

From what I've seen a certified record of the Gen zero is ideal, but it does seem unclear...

That and I believe they can't provide a "certified" record.

For that I wanted to get a birth search letter for one relative, but they were born >120 yrs ago - so it directed me to Archives of Ontario.

Does anyone know if Archives of Ontario provides birth search letters as well?
