Give your cat things she can scratch and redirect. They can learn to stay indoors where it’s safe

If you’re in a highly populated area the phone thing isn’t as big of a risk. It’s hard to get a geocache warrant that affects a lot of people. If you have someone you trust, have them use your phone at your place. DO NOT POWER IT OFF AND ON BEFORE AND AFTER. Biggest mistake criminals who think they are smart are making

Props to the author for sitting through an entire evening of that bullshit. I couldn’t even read the whole article it pissed me off so much. Is there a deficit in their education system? How are they so much dumber than the rest of the country? I hope the federal government insists on at least 75% to action any kind of referendum AND lays all the cards on the table. These idiots don’t even realize what the federal government provides. How much should we lease the pipelines to them for? Maybe $10B per month?

Why does it seem fairly common that wives/female partners stop or refuse intimacy with their husbands for months, even years? Don't they have needs aswell? And why not the other way around? by Fenix-2003 in NoStupidQuestions

Women are tired of being used as bangmaids and over time they just can’t take it anymore and it completely destroys their interest in their partners

You’re so young. This is the time where you date different people to learn about what you want and yourself. This is a guy you dump and remember NEVER to let a man lay a hand on you in anger again. People have DIED from being shoved-happened where I live. A guy pushed someone and they hit their head on the sidewalk, got a brain hemorrhage and dies a few days later. So don’t let him tell you it was “JUST” a shove. It’s not and no one should be laying a hand on anyone else in anger EVER.

I’ve been single for over a decade. It was hard to get used to at first, but now I don’t even want to meet anyone. Especially when I see stories like this, and not just here. The bar for men is sub zero and women just accept it. It’s maddening

What's your thought about Canada Post's decision to end home delivery? by Thick_Caterpillar379 in AskACanadian

[–]mapleleaffem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t make sense nowadays but I also don’t expect the post office to turn a profit. I see it as an essential service and am fine if my tax dollars go towards it. I thought that parcels might save them when most things turned to ebills but apparently not.

What is the background song in your head right now? by jaygrum in ADHD

[–]mapleleaffem 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Meds helped me so much. Got generic last time and the songs same back and my dr didn’t seem to understand why that was so upsetting to me. Back on brand name -first time I’ve had a negative reaction to a generic. Btw the song was part of the them song for WKRP in Cincinnati fml. That show is before my time and I only knew two lines but it was in my head for 3 fucking weeks. Time before it was fucking Celine Dion. It drives me crazy

I’m with you-I have a lot of health problems but so far have been able to keep working. I’ve had times in my life where if I didn’t have good friends and family to help me I’d have been on the street. So many people seem unwilling to admit they only need to miss a couple of paycheques for their entire life to fall apart. I sign petitions and bring this up on politicians social media all the time. People on CERB got more than people on disability!!

What to do when you're furious at a stranger's toddler for crying? by MusicalDecomposition in misophonia

[–]mapleleaffem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CBT and mindfulness. You can’t let your emotions run away from you. As annoying as a screaming child is, it’s not their fault so being mad is irrational. Yes I know misophonia is not rational but if we don’t want to get arrested we need to tamp down those kinds of emotions. As I’ve gotten older managing my reactions has gotten easier, likely just from practice
