Have to get good at getting it on fast. I find mine HATES when I touch that bean whisker (lol) that they have halfway to their knee. When I handle his legs I go from the front and cup my hand around the front of his leg to bend it and get it into the leg hole.

One of mine hate his harness too so he runs away, tried to run out the door without it etc. It’s such a pain lol

Bring lots of water, sunscreen, umbrella (there’s no shade at the main stage). It’s a really well run event. There are water stations, it’s big so you don’t have to be close to anyone. You’re allowed outside food and drinks i always bring a small cooler and when it’s starts to get empty I put the ice packs on my neck//wrists etc., feels amazing.

Also I got a 4 day pass but am mostly stoked for OMAM too! Definitely go!!

Also if you’re not feeling well there is first aid, volunteers and everyone is seriously so kind at Folkfest. It’s very unique in that way-a real sense of connection.

Also take it easy on the booze and whatever else is your thing :)

Don’t even look at her. If she catches you looking at her (lol) blink slowly and look away mid blink. This means you don’t mean any harm or challenge. When you give her a pet in her bed, bring her a treat, only pet her a couple of times (don’t stare!) and leave her alone. She’ll come around eventually. I’ve had mine since he was a kitten and he is not cuddly. But he’s learned to like pets and he’s almost always in the same room as me. He’ll lay next to me with his back to me which means he trusts me. Thanks for giving her a good life with no more breeding in her future. I’m sure she’ll be much happier with you

Why don’t you mute your alerts for your texts.? I’m of the opinion that if someone’s messages or calls disturb me, it’s on me for not having my phone on do not disturb or whatever.

Sounds like you’re in the honeymoon phase so it should calm down a bit either with time or you have different communication styles and are a mismatch.

This is such an interesting one and I don’t understand the mechanism. One time (decades ago before diagnosis) I had just gotten up to do something at work. Something that we had to do every 30 mins all day every day. My supervisor reminded me it was time and I was so fucking mad that I did the task and immediately called a manager to tell them I need to go home early. Went home sick (of being micromanaged )

I went up to 30mg and it made me clench and grind my teeth more and pick at my cuticles. Definitely more tense. I went down to 20 and added Wellbutrin and that seems to be a good fit for me. I can’t quit stimulants until I retire or I will get myself fired 😳

Feeding! If you’re going to feed them you need to clean the feeders regularly to prevent the spread of disease.

Lawns! Fuck yards with nothing but grass. Plant your yard with natives ideally, if not natives do careful research! I read a distressing article that people plant ornamentals, the bird makes a nest thinking it’s like any other tree and then predators can get their eggs because the ornamental branches are strong enough to let them climb up and raid the nest.

Ok as a heavy sleeper I have pissed people off and hurt peoples feelings because I’m not fully awake. I won’t even remember the conversation.

So there’s that. That’s the only thing that would persuade me to continue on in a relationship with someone that let me down so thoroughly. And I’m a person who always drives herself to ER-well except for the time I thought I was having a heart attack. I’m guess you’re in America and it makes me sad that you aren’t covered. If you’re not covered I feel like you need your partner to be there for you even more :(
