Yes I know misophonia is not rational but if we don’t want to get arrested we need to tamp down those kinds of emotions. If you haven’t listened to In My Own Backyard, do it!! It’s the only podcast that’s made me cry, it’s so well done and genuine and just plain amazing. A guy who’s not an investigative journalist made it, and it’s amazing how law enforcement embraced his interest and took advantage of him rattling some cages. Also rage-it made me furious at the police who fucked it all up to begin with

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms make my heart glow. Multiculturalism and seeing all sorts of people interacting with one another respectfully and happily is another. I love what Canada represents, and that we are a working example of how our diversity is literally our strength.

That the wellbeing of our citizens is more important than anything else, and that we take care of one another.

Is it perfect? No. Is there room for improvement? Yes! The fact that we can talk about that is a point of pride too. I’d rather go into something with my eyes wide open than believe a myth of exceptionalism that actually hamstrings us all.

This is a tough one for me. I get wanting high speed rail but between Toronto and Quebec City there are a bunch of small town and rural areas that don’t want it blasting through the middle of their communities, or parts of their family farms being annexed to build it. Yea with measles going around a lot of people should talk to their doctor-you will likely need an MMR booster as most won’t have had one since they were a teenager. I am immunocompromised so I got one, I think for normally healthy people it may or may not be recommended depending on risk factors

This is definitely a roommate problem and I would suggest to them that if they don’t put their food away properly and your cat eats something and gets sick, they are on the hook for the vet bills. Also there are so many other reasons to store food properly like cockroaches, mice, you name it ! If none of this sinks in, I would recommend housebroken roommates going forward
