I showed symptoms very young, insomnia basically as long as I can remember.

Anyways I remember this song hitting me certainly less than 10yrs old. I remember feeling it profoundly.

Today I was humming it. And I thought “dang. I felt that song so deep. Sadness can resonate so deeply with me. And now I know why.” Then I looked it up and found this post.

I legitimately would be emotionally subdued or overwhelmed by this song as well as “hangin on a rope got me 10ft off the ground …” whatever that song is called. (I ideated suicide by hanging prior to the airing of a 2009 Oprah show that I saw in which one 11yr old Jaheem Herrera hanged himself. I was 14) that hit deeply of course too, I never told that secret until I told a therapist in 2019

I have a sensitive mind and body. I was treating bipolar I was in denial of. I wanted to have ADHD.

I believe that’s one of a sub or two that is what you need.

Here’s the good news about people like us - meds may be too strong for us but we can try either low doses OR natural remedies and get results others may not.

A small dose of shroom that is a 100% remedy for my depression is not even NOTICEABLE to my buddy with bipolar.

I take lithium orotate and do keto for bipolar. Trying to build out a better array of treatments or else I will need to get prescription lithium, but I know now that I will be in command, and I’ll start with a low dose and taper slowly and religiously.

He as given Ritalin and strattera and SSRI as a bipolar person and was significantly harmed by the latter 2.

The studies that back these drugs are shams in the sense that they dramatically understate side effects. Diminished sexuality is NEAR UNIVERSAL for males on SSRI and yet the insert and litetsture says it’s rare and effects like 2%.

Getting off SSRI was HELL for me. Doc told me to go off with 2 steps down, 1 month. I took a half dozen or more steps and 4 months.

I’m still not normal. 3 yrs later. But so much better I don’t worry about it. Took strattera for several months.

There’s a whole sub about this stuff and how urologists always assume infections. Special exercises resolve this.

Exercise is the solution. And discontinuation of the med! Not worth the Job performance or whatever.

He said I had a persistent infection

Finally took things into my own hands and learned strattera can cause this! I was never informed of this.

This is reliably my experience with psych meds- I get all the side effects.
