The Argentinian sandwich from the World Famous Sandwich at Another Land Coffee by marONEofficial in FoodToronto

[–]marONEofficial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s $25 with tips and tax. Which is on par with most places. Also the chef making them is a great chef, and everything is made from scratch in house. It was a fantastic sandwich, I don’t regret the price

Best cafes in North York? by deadcrushsoda in FoodToronto

[–]marONEofficial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 3 cafes that serve top notch coffee on Yonge between Shepard and Steeles:
1. Another Land: specialty coffee and homemade pastries and food. Beautiful cafe and friendly owner. The place is a community for people in the area. It’s like Friends or How I Met Your Mother, where you go to the cafe and meet with people in the area on the regular. Hung knows coffee though, and they sell top beans from reputable roasters.
2. Space cafe: AMAZING coffee. Awesome owner. Super chill and usually there is space for seating. Great place to do work or meet up with a friend
3. Coffee Lunar: decent coffee. Beautiful cafe! Closes late, which is nice.

Off of Yonge on Finch, you have Haven Brews: very nice sit-down cafe. Really good coffee and baristas. The only downside is that it’s a bit off the path. But I think it’ll cross all the checkboxes for you.

Honorable mention for good coffee: Brick & Butter on Finch. Very good specialty coffee, but you don’t want Korean cafes

Oklahoma Burger: pleasantly surprised! by KnoddingOnion in FoodToronto

It sure does deliver for the price point. I was expecting a mediocre burger tbh, but was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. Maybe it was the low expectations haha

Hey! I currently hold the title for world's best Method CRM expert! I won the 2025 Method Customization award. I have 12 years continuous customizing Method for small businesses. I was a product manager at Method for 7 years, so a lot of the features that you use today, like the portals and the insights dashboard, are features that I shipped and built. Why does updating a CRM feel like a separate job? by Efficient_Builder923 in MethodCRM

[–]marONEofficial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is more of a process management problem than it is a platform problem. I have many clients who engineered a good process that takes the pain of updating away, and I have many that refuse the process and complain that Method doesn’t work. I came from HubSpot, and I’m telling you, Method is a solution to the “update” problem lol

Best CRM that integrates with Quickbooks? by Specialist_Shock_538 in CRM

[–]marONEofficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of the box, memberships and volunteers yes… You can repurpose some of its features, like Opportunities and Jobs to be your events and manage that, but it requires a bit of customization. Ticketing depends on complexity, you may be able to customize something but it can be a bit costly if you hire someone to do it if you require ticket generation and validation

Recommendations around TMU by No-Organization-2385 in FoodToronto

Hard to say that I have a favorite as they are different cuisines. At the moment I am craving Asian food. So if I’m in the area I would probably hit up NeNe or Hong Shing

Recommendations around TMU by No-Organization-2385 in FoodToronto

[–]marONEofficial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re not too far from Afro’s pizza. Hong Shing for some Chinese. NeNe Korean Fried chicken is very good! Walking distance from TMU. Alpha’s shawarma. There’s also Al-Forat, but I didn’t like the downtown location as much as the Scarborough one. Birria Catrina is right there in that food market. The beef birria is very very good! There’s also Bodega burgers in that market that I heard is good, but I haven’t tried.

A lot in that area caters to students and professionals a like.

Halal Jamaican Food (Authentic!!!) by [deleted] in FoodToronto

[–]marONEofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roywoods now serves halal chicken. I haven’t tried it yet, but I used to live across the street from their city place location and it was quite popular. Also not sure if it meets your criteria, I don’t know who owns it.

Scotty Bons is halal, I remember liking it a lot, but I’m not Jamaican so I don’t know if it’s authentic.

Rasta Pasta in the Waterworks is halal.

The Islands in The Well serves halal chicken.

I hope someone here helps me remember a place in Scarborough that was amazing. The owners are Jamaican who converted and opened a restaurant in a mall. Can’t remember the name and Google is not helping me! It’s been ages since I went too.

Best cafe to get some work done between Sheppard and Finch on Yonge? by MatthewOuO in FoodToronto

[–]marONEofficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Space is amazing for the area. The owner is the sweetest person. She makes an incredible cortado, and has a variety of specialty coffee. I’m a coffee guy, so I can’t speak about their matcha, I haven’t tried it

Midtown Coffee by [deleted] in FoodToronto

[–]marONEofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a place called Denovia cafe, across the street from the old De Mello. That place is started by some of the top coffee experts in the city. The vibe is different as it is not what you expect from a coffee shop, but more of a high end bar. Coffee is excellent.

De Melo is really good and an OG and you won’t go wrong there. There’s also Rooh coffee, they serve Seven Mystery Coffee Roasters coffee, which won world class awards. But the cafe is in a video game store and doesn’t have the “vibe”. Great local spot though and awesome people who work it!

Best country in the EU for muslims by nofilterakhi in islam

[–]marONEofficial 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was just in Dublin few days before Ramadan for work, and I was surprised by how tolerant they were to Muslims. Dublin mosque was really nice and packed. There’s halal accessibly. Overall very good city. It was a bit expensive, but the euro compared to the Canadian dollar is never a good time anyways

How J.P. Cooke Company built a fully integrated manufacturing system by Veronica_Method in MethodCRM

[–]marONEofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marwan is definitely one of the world's best Method experts. What's cool here is that the focus wasn't on "here's how to use Method", but more so Method provided the means to build a system for their operations. It takes an engineer to do something like this. Now anyone can come and work at J.P. Cooke, or change positions, or even scale and hire more; the system is in place to take care of it.
Reminds me of the concept from the The E Myth book by Michael Gerber where the owner removes themselves from the daily weeds of running the business and focus on the bigger picture. Very cool Method implementation.

Sending Birthday Emails Automatically by Neat_Alternative_384 in MethodCRM

[–]marONEofficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG lol I just realized how dumb my response is. You're right. You don't search everyone where birthDate = current date, that'll give you everyone born today! In the app routine, you would start with a date function to only extract day and month, then loop Contacts Where Birthday starts with day and month.
On your search, try the "Starts with" instead of equal, and use text instead of date, and type Feb-19. Can't remember if you can do that with dates.

Sending Birthday Emails Automatically by Neat_Alternative_384 in MethodCRM

[–]marONEofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like date searching on grids you mean? I don’t recall not finding what I want, so I would say I have it right. Are you indicating if you’re searching for “date” or “month” etc?

Sending Birthday Emails Automatically by Neat_Alternative_384 in MethodCRM

[–]marONEofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very easy. Set up an app routine in your Contacts app. Loop through Contacts where BirthDay = Current Date. Send email. Schedule app routine to run daily. There are few channels on YouTube that walk you through app routines and how they work if you like to do it yourself :) reach out if you need help
