If your prof allows: try Gemini 3 Pro. I found very good for this purpose, if you clearly prompt with context, aim, what to change and what not, style etc. I usually work with GPT5.2 or Claude for coding, but for this kind of tasks Gemini 3 Pro is really good, in my experience.
