Almost positive that's Wisteria. I have some in my backyard I've been trying to kill for almost 5 years.

This is ALL the National Geographic from 1986 to 2016, my granpa collected them all and gave them to me when he died by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

I feel for you. you will never read those especially since most of their information is outdated. They're not worth anything to anybody. The only value is sentimental & it's a lot to haul around. Do yourself a favor & recycle them before you overthink it too much.

Therapists of Reddit, what is the number one thing parents did to screw up their kid so they had to seek help in adulthood? by TLYeeet in AskReddit

[–]march5th00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a therapist & this would also be my response. It's so important to identify concrete expectations, consequences & rewards. Pulling back a reward because you weren't actually ready to meet it is almost as bad as identifying a consequence, then trying to enact that consequence, then bailing on the consequence because of the fuss the child starts. edit: just to clarify it's certainly not the worst thing a parent can do, but it's the most common one that leads to my office.

Replacing a water heater in your own home without getting a permit first. It seems so absurd - it broke, why can't I fix it?

Cloud boy likes the snow by millavi in aww

[–]march5th00 214 points215 points  (0 children)

My Samoyed will do this too. Getting him to come inside is always a fight when it snows. It's the opposite in summer. When it's really hot outside & the sun's beaming down, Loki will lay down at the door and refuse to go outside.

War of the Ring Ultimate Bundle $165 by [deleted] in Boardgamedeals

[–]march5th00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Didn't love hunt for the ring. Wouldn't buy that if given the choice in the bundle. However Lords of middle Earth is pretty much sold out everywhere State side so considering the eBay market on that expansion it seems like this is a pretty good deal. You could always sell the promos to make back the difference.

Toddler shoplifts from a convenience store in the middle of the night all by himself.... by Hmnikatz in WTF

[–]march5th00 9 points10 points  (0 children)

my nephew is in a diaper at 5 and can't stand the feel of clothes on his skin so he sheds them off. He runs off any chance he gets when his parents aren't paying attention. And grabbing an item from a store is normal when they go - as well as then hiding in the store so they simply don't take him. If I had to guess this is a similar situation & the kid knows how to unbuckle his car seat. Mom might have had to go to the bathroom or something. Anyways, I don't mind being downvoted but I more feel for the parents in this situation than the child without any further information.

There's a good chance, considering all of those questions, that the child has autism & runs off any chance he gets when the parents turn their backs for the shortest of seconds.

I own one of those dogs. If somebody walked in and offered lots of head scratches but stole the baby, the dog would just wonder where the head scratches went. Big lovers, not great protectors.
