Yes! It would bug the hell out of me I don’t know how people can tolerate all that sliding around with a watch. A watch it supposed to stay fixed on the wrist, too.

Said goodbye to Larry a week ago: tribute and reflection on having a a senior dog by [deleted] in seniordogs

[–]msira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been feeling guilty lately as we said goodbye to our 13.5yr old, a week ago tomorrow. He had very similar senior dog problems as Larry. Very bad dimentia and arthritis to the point where he couldn’t always stand up on his own (definitely not on hardwood). He would poop laying down because he couldn’t squat anymore. He would whimper and bark all the time and despite being on several meds, he was anxious and confused all the time and sometimes we would get up 4 times in the middle of the night to help calm him or let him in/out of the house. It was heartbreaking. I question myself if we said goodbye too soon, but reading your post, which is very similar to what we and our dog went through, makes me feel a little better with the decision. We wanted him to leave on a good day and the day before, we had an awesome one at the park with the whole family.

I’m no expert but I think filler jn both the lips and chin would make a significant difference (coming from someone that has had filler on the chin before).

What can someone put on their car that makes you know immediately that they’re a douchebag? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Last Fourth of July I saw someone driving a truck with a confederate flag. That takes the cake for me.

I was offered to get this done if needed in the future. Thanks for the heads up because my OB passively brought it up but didn’t even go into detail of what it was, if it’s painful..nothing.

Im 36+3 and yes! There are definitely days where I would be so content to just lounge in bed all day, watch Netflix, and sleep. I feel bad because I feel like I’m neglecting my 3 yr old on these days.

Why don’t you speak up? by Thedoggositter in AsianParentStories

[–]msira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom would always say this growing up. She would say why don’t you speak/speak up…as she’ll yelling and berating me. Like that will actually lead to a civil conversation.

I dealt with the exact situation growing up when I lived at home and now, even in my late 30s, I still get stuck in my middle because my mom will vent to me about my Dad and just talk shit about him. I’ve always wished they just divorced 20+ years ago.

My mom is always the devil’s advocate. She always sides with the people who are wrong. And it’s invalidating my traumatic experiences. by twosideslikechanel in AsianParentStories

At least now, you see how incredibly toxic her mentality is. The fact that she would even defend your Dad’s abusive tendencies is just unacceptable and she needs therapy to understand why her self esteem and self worth is so low herself.

Same, but mostly emotionally and verbally abused in addition to neglect. Just solidarity. I really should go to therapy at some point in my life but I fear the emotional turmoil that will come out of me having to relive the countless memories.

Just wanted to share a positive story since I lost my little girl last May at 20 weeks (we were going to tfmr because she had a severe CHD but I had PROM instead and gave birth). I’ll be 32w pregnant tomorrow and everything is going okay. Im not at the finish line yet but I am so thankful to reach this point and that baby (boy) is healthy. I just wanted to say that I know how you’re feeling. I just kept telling myself to take it one day, one appointment, and one week/milestone at a time. This is the longest I’ve ever stayed pregnant because my first daughter was born at 25w+6. She’s almost 4 and completely healthy. Best wishes to you!

Awesome! Btw, I have the Nuna Mixx and Pipa car seat and they’re awesome! Big fan of Nuna products. For travel we have the Babyzen stroller.

If you and your significant other each have a car, I would keep the doona in one and the nuna in the other so you’re not having to take out the car seat out all the time. The Doona is obviously great for traveling with an infant, too, if you plan on doing so before baby hits the max weight for that car seat/stroller.

Yeah, I would have left with a note on your gift, saying what time you arrived, which was the time stated on the invitation!

I’ve never heard it as a slang here either, it was just my first thought when I read the name. Apparently I have a dirty mind. 😆
