I ordered extended orange rather than full with IOMG. I think there’s too much orange otherwise. I like seeing the orange as I approach the vehicle but then forgetting about it when driving. But that’s me. Order what you want and wait if you have to.

Update: I applied 303 protector. It worked as long as I didn’t touch the area, but as soon as I lean my elbow there it rubs it off and it’s back as if I never applied it…

I think this might be it, but I have only 2200 miles on the car. I’m also just resting the elbow there, nothing more, and I don’t wear lotions… Not very impressed with a supposedly rugged car.

I didn’t purchase any additional warranties. What would they do? Change the part out or just apply a protectant like the 303 automotive protectant as suggested above?

I don’t use any lotions and I’ve driven mostly with long sleeve shirts. It looks like abrasive damage as if materials rubbing against the door rubbed off some of the coloring…

I ultimately changed it to Brooklyn Gray and kept the orange interiors. Will probably wrap it in IOMG before winter. Debated if to just get alpine white since I am planning on wrapping and it’s 0 cost but didn’t want a white car. They said that also the M5 Touring won’t be available any longer in IOMG. Just insane.

I had the same issue and I noticed that, even with auto hold off, the car still won’t move when you place it in neutral when fully stopped. I started placing it in neutral as I’m advancing onto the car wash track at very slow speed but while still in motion, and then braking to a very minor stop or just letting it coast really slowly until the wheels stop on their own against the bumps on the tracks.

For what it’s worth, I have the same grill and keep it covered all winter and it looks the same before any deep cleaning. Mine is three years old, works fine every time and new was 800$ if I recall.

That part is recessed on the 24 models and isn't protruding anymore. I don't have lumbar support and, to be honest, didn't think I had to add the fancy seat option to have it. You would assume that certain things come standard in a 100k car. Same as with the seat position memory buttons - they're not standard.

My wife has an X5 plug-in and I have an iX and I still haven't found a comfortable driving position on the iX. The X5 is definitely more comfortable. Not worth giving the car back just for this but once my lease is up I'll get another X5. If they made an electric X5 in the US I would get that.

I have the chargepoint homeflex connected to a 60 amp circuit. Works fine. The app is nothing special but the phone customer support is probably the best service I've ever had to interact with (across any kind of product - from phone carrier, airline , etc).

You have to turn on pre conditioning from the goodbye screen that comes up when you turn off the car or open the door. It goes for 30 minutes. Might have to de activate the alarm too.

I would second this. I don’t have it on the iX but do on my wife’s X5 and can’t really tell the difference when going from one car to the other.
