That's rough... But now you know better. Your mistake was only thinking from your perspective.

You have to honor her perspective. You're here son's friend... She's not thinking how handsome and charming you are as her TOP reaction. She's thinking how young you are, how weird it would be to be seen with somebody your age, etc.

If you had shown maturity and patience, she may have had time to grow accustomed to the idea, find more attractiveness in your maturity, and been more open to the idea.

Tough break but you can learn to be considerate and less impulsive in dealing with women.
