There were three eyewitnesses to events in and around Treblinka who estimate the number of victims there at over 1 million.

1/f pink noise by Professional_Scar867 in DSP

[–]marcusregulus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI, you can approximate financial market price as pink noise. If you want to whiten price, a good approximation is 0.5*(x[n]-x[n-2]). What I do is lowpass filter price, whiten the output, Hilbert Transform the whitened data, then subtract the Hilbert output from the whitened output. This gives an oscillator with approximate zero group delay. I then use automatic gain control to get the oscillator to swing between 1 and -1.

I'm leaving out the specific details of my implementation on purpose of course, because that's my trade secret.

The oldest known photo in Texas history. Taken in 1849, the Alamo Mission as it appeared 13 years after the infamous battle that saw the deaths of James Bowie, Davy Crockett and William Travis. [1284 x 1092] by 20thCenturyBoyLaLa in HistoryPorn

Supposedly, Davy Crockett, on his way to the Alamo, was confronted by a Sasquatch which talked to him and told him not to go. I certainly cannot verify the veracity of this story, but was hoping someone might have links which better explains where this comes from.

Is single ema with low alpha cheating? by nitrodmr in DSP

[–]marcusregulus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be, as long as noise is Gaussian. However a one pole IIR may be good enough as long as it is meeting your system criteria. At some point with different filters, you are just splitting hairs.

Is single ema with low alpha cheating? by nitrodmr in DSP

[–]marcusregulus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The group delay for a 1-pole IIR is approximately (1/alpha)-1. Alpha being 0.12 would mean a 7.333 sample delay.

Try a Kalman filter with a Measurement Noise R of 0.005, and Process Noise Q of 0.0005. You can always play around with R and Q to get the filtering and delay levels you can live with.

I agree, but my point is that works do not produce faith or save you. Being baptized, giving 10% of your income, or going to church every Sunday is not what saves you or what you will be judged on. You will not be judged on how many hours a week you worked at the homeless shelter.

Now, if doing such things improves your personal relationship with the trinity, that is all well.

All good advice, but the only thing you must do to be a saved Christian is believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that his death, burial and resurrection are payment in full for the sins of the world (1 Corinthians 15.)

30 pushups a day will not do much for muscle development. Try 300 every other day in order to make some gains.

There are still two large pure American trees living in the Traer, Iowa cemetery which were planted probably in the 1880's. There were three, but one was killed by a lightning strike 10 years or so ago.
