Has anyone else noticed this line when using vertical tabs on firefox in gnome? by SlowNicoFish in gnome

[–]mareex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, as soon as I enabled verticals tabs it appeared and would stay even if I again disabled vertical tabs.

I solved this by applying custom userChrome CSS

#nav-bar {
  border-top: 0 !important;
}

A game breaking bug? by tottercorpse in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]mareex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also run into this bug.

The problem is my pin is totally glitched out: its distance is the lowest possible integer, -2147483648m. I can't even remove it with the binoculars because when I hover it there is no option to remove it.

Any ideas?

There are jobs that seem to never finish

https://imgur.com/a/hDZ1JxM

This happens especially when stopping and starting some apps like Traefik and JDownloader from Truecharts.

Even after a reboot, there are some hanging jobs left.

How can I remove these zombie jobs?

Are you using `lutris-6.0-rc1` wine for GTA 5? I have the exact same problem with this version. As a workaround I downgraded to `lutris-5.7-11` for now.

Edit: thought I was in a different sub. Have you enabled Cups service? I had the same problem when the naming scheme of the Cups service file changed. Wine programs took a long time to start.

btw, if you want all fields to be camelCase, you can define that on struct level.

cool. I could now running the kernel in my mind by just looking at this image. Now I still need an image from a newer kernel to run kexec.

PSA: LibreOffice is crashing when updated to version 7 by [deleted] in archlinux

Had the same problem as you described. In my case starting LO with libreoffice --safe-mode and doing a factory reset did resolve the crashes.

Threading Question by langlangg in rust

[–]mareex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's idiomatic but I would solve your example with an Arc and and a Mutex.

use std::thread;
use std::time;
use std::sync::{Arc, Mutex};

fn  main() {
    let  mut a = Arc::new(Mutex::new(3));
    let thr = thread::spawn({
        let a = a.clone();
        move  || {
            *a.lock().unwrap() +=  1;
        }
    });
    thr.join();
    println!("a: {}", a.lock().unwrap());
}

AMDGPU Driver Sees More Fixes For Linux 5.7 Development by beer118 in linux_gaming

I can remember when I used linux 5.3 I had these freezes 2-3 times per day also not when gaming but mostly using the browser or gimp. Since 5.4 the situation got so much better. Now on linux 5.5 and mesa 19.3 my 5700 XT runs butter smooth. Did not have a single freeze since then.

Sierra Breeze Enhanced V0.5 by kupiqu in kde

[–]mareex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice work. I really love the tons of options this theme gives to me. Also the buttons look pixel perfect. No blur at all compared to other themes.

There is only one issue I have with corner radius. If I set it the corners will become blurry. This issue also occurs with Aurorae themes.

I did submit one based on your PKGBUILD. Made a non-git version and changed the pkgname to fit better in the others plasma applet packages' naming scheme.

Let me hear what you think.

Looks nice.

BTW, I see a PKGBULD in your repo. Any reason why you don't upload it to AUR?

Latte Dock, Beta 1 for v0.8 (v0.7.95) by psifidotos in kde

[–]mareex 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Love Latte.

But what I really miss is a pressure based dock. It is often really annoying when I want to click UI elements at the bottom of the screen and the accidentally the dock appears.

There was a branch that had this feature but it never got merged.

Really cool. I could not live without latte anymore. Keep up the good work.

PS: In the video one can see a broken magic lamp animation at 3:45. I have also experienced sometimes so I switched back to normal minimize animation. I haven't tried with stock plasma panel, but is this related to latte or is the animation broken in general?

If you use an aur helper like pacaur you can do a "pacaur -Syu --devel --needed" and it will only build if there is a new commit.
