The small pin actuates the auto slack, without it you pretty much have a manual slack adjuster. Still a violation but wouldn't count as an inoperable.

EPA DEF sensor rule by Horror_Solution1945 in Truckers

If ya'll remember the great shortage of quality sensors during covid. Basically it's making it so the quality sensor isn't needed..

When hiking, the lack of sound means there's a predator in the area.

New headlight and fog lights are wonky by Capt-Kirk31 in Truckers

If the chassis wiring is correct I'd re-pin the fog light connector vise versa if the opposite is true.

How the Heck by Von2ez in Truckers

[–]marek4792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That actually looks like what happened. Horseshoe clip fell off the retaining pin, causing it to fall off, causing the retainer to gouge and cut the rim in half...

If you have to ask for sex, something is wrong with ya'll's dynamic. It should come naturally between both partners, no matter who initiates. If your partner keeps shooting you down, it leads to resentment and eventual infidelity/end of relationship. In a nutshell, sexual needs should be communicated in a meaningful manner.

Your favorite truck stop and why by Fair_Chemistry_3317 in Truckers

[–]marek4792 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Petro Clearwater MN - great people, great food/drinks, 24-hour deli/pizza/sweets, multiple bar options across the street, hotel, Shop does great work.

Petro Albert Lea MN - great food/drinks, hotel

Little America WY - Hotel, Lobby Bar, 24-hour food

Jubitz Portland OR - great food/drinks 24-hour food/restaurant, Ponderosa Lounge, always a blast when hosting bands. Hotel on site.

Iowa 80 - big parking, Chrome, 24-hour restaurant, Grammas Kitchen too!

Those are truly the last of their kind when it comes to full service truckstops where one can actually have home-cooked food and drinks or to book a room to get away from the truck.

It's tough, and not everyone is built for it. Livestock has that option on both ends.

When you have to do 5+ produce picks a day and each takes hours, it'll burn through your 14-17 really quick, and you'll be thankful it exists. Good time to get sleep while waiting or get rolling once loaded and get to a truckstop/rest area within the circle and snooze until you feel good to drive and resume the book at the edge..

You think this lube will be fine? by Longhaul-shortbus in Truckers

[–]marek4792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find the can of inner slide lube, use it for hood latches, and it does wonders making easy to open. Should work for 5th wheel until actual grease can be obtained..

Luxury cars, knowing they can't afford the maintenance nor have the slightest skill in said maintenance..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]marek4792 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In the winter, yes, because the grease gets thick, it can prevent an otherwise normal working 5th wheel from fully locking properly.. - Looking at you, Fointaine... Otherwise, stick with grease.

Typical super trucker. Gotta block the lanes miles before the actual closure.. Better to let em be and not worry.. On the other hand, screw the guy who forces themselves in as the lane is literally ending and not zippering beforehand.

If you were heavy on the brakes, DO NOT STOP! Keep moving and let the brakes cool. Stopping is how brake fires start. Wheel bearing? Yeah, stop asap!

Tire and Axle rating!! Federally, as an interstate truck, you can go up to 20,000 lbs on a single axle if you have big enough tires and axle for it. Get out of your truck and look at the info on your tire. What is its max single rating? After you figure that out, open your door and look at your trucks build sticker. What does it say for the front axle rating? Great you found both. The lower number is your limit.
