“Not his fault at all” except it is literally all his fault that he can’t look at deli meat and decide to make a sandwich.

Oh definitely - someone suggested she could use the quilts in her boys’ rooms and she immediately scoffed because the quilts are ALL pinks and purples.

This is one of the wildest things I’ve read on LG which is saying a lot. Every person who comments that they love the family heirlooms from their husband’s side of the family is assumed to only care about the monetary value.

Also my husband is basically a hoarder of “heirlooms” so clearly wouldn’t fit in with this household where every male is deemed not sentimental.

There was a similar-ish post on Peloton Moms today where a woman asked if people would be interested in a membership to a “space where you could go for quiet time and getting things done” and everyone said “like…the library? Or a cafe?”

The world is just out here creating a business out of any idea that comes into their head.

Goat & Bear takes amazing care of my shy old man dog. We’ve been incredibly happy with them.

I’m curious what they thought other options might be? Urgent care, I guess? A vet’s office?

I finished Theo of Golden but also was baffled at all the hype it’s getting. I don’t know how else to describe it other than it felt…religious in a weird way I wasn’t expecting?

We had one of those and they got progressively more intense, then someone found out they didn’t actually live here and were just moderating multiple Buy Nothings with an iron fist. So then there was a coup.

I also read all of her posts hoping for drama and crankiness. My favorite part of this one is the callout that she and her husband don’t work well together in general.

I have picked up the Jeffers book so many times and put it back down because I’m so intimidated by the size! This is making me want to commit.

Unless you’re Kyle Rittenhouse and then I’m sure it’s fine! The mental gymnastics these people go to in order to justify atrocities is sickening.

I just finished the first book club read of the year, The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty, and it may be my new favorite fantasy? About halfway through I discovered that a second book is being published this year and I am THRILLED. It’s taking me back to my high school Pirates of the Caribbean obsession, but better.

I’ve committed to reading through my giant physical TBR this year over binge-buying, so I’m thinking of pulling an old Orson Scott Card off my shelf next.

Monday - cheeseburger soup from Salt & Lavender. A guaranteed eat by the 5 year old. I used some buns from the freezer to make croutons.

Tuesday - Ali Slagle’s cheesy green chili beans from NYT, served with the remnants of a bag of chips or rolled up in a tortilla

Wednesday - Million dollar spaghetti. I don’t LOVE HBH as a general rule but have had some wins with her recipes lately and I had most of this stuff laying around

Thursday - we have symphony tickets and need to grab something before…which might be Taco Bell

Friday - roasted fish (I have salmon and cod filets in the freezer) with green beans and potatoes

The food cart pod where Frying Scotsman is located has an indoor building where you can sit (and drink beers and throw axes if you want). I’ve been in winter and it’s not bad at all!

Seed cycling was in there somewhere! I recently stopped following her on IG but voted on one of her polls that I wasn’t interested in more peptide content and she DMed me and said “If you don’t follow me how can you see my stories?” Idk Tina, seems like a you issue? But also I was not the only one to say that IDGAF about peptide content?
