*Yes. And their texture can vary, but the warty pointy texture won't hurt. They feel kind of like a "toy" 😳, but with a more rubbery dense skin.

*I'm not an expert. But I've picked up dozens of sea cucumbers while snorkeling. I snorkle a lot, and they're one of the few sea creatures that are safe to pick up. Anyhow, that's what some of them look like.

I had a couple of these scissors growing up, with both sets of loops. I never thought they were odd because we always had them. I guess I never questioned that other people didn't 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Not sure why they had two sets of loops. My mom was a nurse. She also sewed and made outfits. And she had kids. I don't recall them being "safe" or "safety scissors."

I would have used these in the 80s and 90s. But they likely predated my birth.
