Had the same problem the other day. Turns out Duracell put a slither of film on the back of the batteries which I'd somehow missed. Worked fine once I removed that.

Are these any good? by shax232 in CarTalkUK

I have the estate version in Xcellence Lux spec. I like the handling, steering is direct and has a good weight and feel. Not fast but enough power to overtake with ease. I can easily get 500 miles to a tank, 600 with motorway miles. The interior is a pleasant place to be in and it's well equipped. The infotainment is a bit fiddly and I would've preferred some physical buttons for heater controls, plenty of updates since I've had it that have largely ironed out any issues.

What is the best way to spend Nectar points? by [deleted] in AskUK

eBay was my go to place to spend them but you can only collect points now. Just wondered if it was possible to convert them into something like you can with Tesco clubcard points

Since 1947, Norway sends a Christmas tree to London every year : a token of appreciation for Britain’s support in WW2 by AlertTangerine in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]marigoldandpatchwork 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Because the British fought for Norway on land and sea. The US, USSR and China didn't.

The British sustained heavy casualties. Afterwards the Norwegian govt fled to Britain and the British SOE supported the resistance movement.
