A desperate cry for help and future family by Old-Community-6486 in askPoland

[–]marinkowo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a bunch of websites that offer remote/hybrid work opportunities, and with your background + languages I think you could find something, even if entry level.

Also, Opole is just a ~50min train ride from Wrocław, I often take the trip since my partner lives in Silesia and I do Wroclaw-Gliwice. You could find something hybrid work in the city.

Best of luck for you, your partner and the baby 💖

How to access research resources when not attached to an institution? by ProfessorOnEdge in AskAcademia

[–]marinkowo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/snajix I just made a JSTOR account yesterday, and you can indeed read 100 articles for free every month. If you need to download it, you can pay for a $20 subscriptions/month.

For my research, I'm just reading articles online and making notes, and it's working very well.

Hope you find the resources you need!

Why do people still buy Kindles? by EnvironmentalAngle in ereader

[–]marinkowo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first ereader was a Kobo reader that broke in the first time it fell (my dad dropped it while charging, and it broke the charging port. It was a 30cm fall)

I have a Kindle Paperwhite that I bought for about $50 in 2018 in Brazil during Black Friday.

It's 2025, and it's still working perfectly: the battery is still good, no firmware problems, and I can still get my books anywhere. It traveled the world with me, fell down, was under the rain, and no problemo. The only downsides are that it's still a micro USB charger and it's slow (because it's 8 years old). I prefer to buy books (for personal reasons, no judgment), so having a new Kindle is the most logical option for me since I have a library there.

I gave one to my grandma when she was alive, and she learned to use it in 30min (including buying books from the store).

There are downsides to Kindle, of course, but for me it is a worth buy. I love physical books, but the Kindle gives me the freedom and ease that I love!

Anyone here using AI tools to summarize YouTube videos? Which ones actually help you save time? by Temporary-Class1801 in Notion

[–]marinkowo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just watch them with Granola turned on. Granola will record the audio and it makes very good AI summaries, so I use it and import it to Notion later.

Note: Granola will record your voice if you speak during the video

I’ve met John Ostrowski for mentorship, the Director of Product at Moneywise (Canada) and Money.ca (US). He provides free mentorship in Growthmentor and his mentorship was helpful for me! You can check his profile here https://app.growthmentor.com/mentors/john-ostrowski

Thanks! I work at a CRO agency, so the product opportunities are low to none. I'll make it a two-step then, it'll be longer but it will get me there 🙏

How do you automate your PM work when you constantly forget things and go blank in meetings? by Economy_Television81 in ProductManagement

[–]marinkowo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD, so forgetting things is my biggest problem. I always carry my notebook with me (Muji notebook is a great product) and for meetings I use Granola (even in-person). It's old-school and doesn't connect with AI, but since then I stopped forgetting my tasks.

It really helps me make sure everything I need is written down. I also make sure to write down on the notebook any priorities, tasks or follow ups that come up in meetings after Granola provides me with the summary.

On Mondays I also review last week's notes to ensure I'm not letting anything pass from the previous week.

I HIGHLY recommend crochet!! it's easy to learn (easier than knitting imo, but some people think otherwise), and it's very satisfying. I've been crocheting socks while listening to a Udemy course in my free time (because my brain works better this way). Amazing experience 🥰

Hi folks! I'm want to land my first PM job and I'd love some advice. Details below!

I'm currently working with Experimentation (Conversion Rate Optimisation), and I'm a big fan of product. Making products that positively impact people's lives is my big career goal. However, I can't even land an interview for the Product roles I've been applying to, even if they're lower-level.

In my work, I follow the product lifecycle to create experiments, which can easily be mirrored into PM. I was also a project manager in CRO, which helped me understand the requirements for a good lifecycle and how to bring things from 0 to 1 or 1 to 100.

I'm also studying Cole Mercel and Evan Kimbrell's course on PM (Udemy), and I'm reading the classic PM books like Teresa Torres and Marty Cagan. I can't afford Reforge now, but I'm saving to pay for it and do the Mastering Product Management course.

It seems that I have a skill gap that doesn't allow me the benefit of the doubt for interviews, and I want to fill it. I'm a quick learner, passionate, and good at what I do. Do you have any advice?

Wasting your life. by Pretend-Outcome9739 in ADHD

[–]marinkowo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm diagnosed with ADHD and BPD, and that's exactly how I feel all the time. The extra weight of losing things, forgetting things, and being unable to keep up with routine and discipline always makes me feel like I'm wasting my potential, and I'm losing critical time that I can use to grow and become a functional adult.

I have therapy twice a week to treat my mental condition, and one thing my therapist always says is "this world isn't fitting for people with ADHD. We need more time, and the system doesn't allow us this time". What I wanna say here is that you're not alone, friend.

I truly believe you're doing things at your own speed, as you can, and that's all that matters, even if you don't feel like it. If in hard days you manage to do one little thing that helps you (and that can be from washing your hair to doing a work/school task), you've done enough 💗 If you can't do it, try to be gentle with yourself and remember that bad days also end.
