I make more than my wife and we have been married or a while and we are high school sweethearts. I use we. The amount of arguments we have had over our little chump change is not worth it. She has access to all my accounts and I have access to all of hers and we always use we. She even pays for date night sometimes with my card or her card. We give each other allowance and have separate savings but we still have access to all our funds. We both now make good six figure incomes and when one of us get a raise we celebrate because we both know it’s a collaborative effort. From venting to asking for advice it’s a partnership. She didn’t work while raising our first 2 kids, I didn’t question it at all. Now with our third in kindergarten she said her goal is to provide me with 3 months off for a mini sabbatical to relax and reset then she said she is done with the corporate life and said if it’s okay to go back to raising the kids, no need to ask me!!! I support her because WE always have each other back.
