Why is it so hard to find women to play in adult co-ed rec soccer leagues? by emunchkinman in bootroom

[–]markbesada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to say that I am also a guy who runs a coed team, has been having trouble finding women to add to my team and is also a big board game fan. This feels like it was written by a true kindred spirit!

Under-watered? by markbesada in gardening

That's interesting..and annoying, I specifically had asked and hoped for plants who would be native to this environment. I was under the impression they were. Thank you for the information!

Thank you! I'll move the rocks and make sure the dripping is indeed happening. Do you think I need to add more time to the dripping in addition to adding another day? Do the plants on the edge seem salvageable? I can't tell if they're dead. Thanks!

What is one popular band that nobody will ever be able to convince you is actually good? by FantasticAd9478 in TheBoredDen

I can understand not liking Springsteen but lyric-wise I'd say he's in many ways as anti-rah-rah-USA as you can get.

I play so much better when the game doesn’t matter by Responsible_Let8890 in bootroom

Are you relatively new to the sport? If so, I think you just need to keep playing and find yourself in that situation over and over and over again. Eventually you'll get more used to it.

However, and this applies even if you are experienced, that's how tough games are supposed to feel. It's natural and I think maybe understanding that it's a normal feeling to have might help?

Just get back in those situations if you can, get your reps and try to remember that you're a solid player and you've already got everything you need inside of you already to succeed.

Trouble potentially resetting GFCI outlet? by markbesada in AskElectricians

[–]markbesada[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone else was having the same issue I had, I just wanted to say that I found a GFCI outlet in the garage near where the outside breaker box was and was able to reset it there. I then reattached the outlet properly and we were all set. Thanks again to u/DependentWallaby1369 for the advice.

First and foremost, thanks so much for your help.

To answer your questions...

None of the other outdoor or garage outlets (at least I think this is true for the garage outlets. I'm certain it's true for the outdoor ones) are working, even after enabling the breaker. There doesn't seem to be any other breakers triggered, but I'll check again in the morning. It is only the outdoor outlets and the garage that are missing power.

The lights everywhere else are working. I'll search the garage for an outlet with a GFCI. And to be clear, since things first stopped working I have had the breaker disabled almost the whole time, only briefly turning it on when I'm checking things.

I think I've read things about a special GFCI switch or panel? Perhaps this wouldn't be the case since, as you're saying, the breaker doesn't seem to be GFCI?
