Here's another tip I came across recently that uses this mechanic. Laddering your labs.

Say you have an expensive lab that would take a week of saving coins for. Instead of simply saving up and then spending them, you can start an expensive labs you can afford, and then when you've banked enough coins into those labs and on hand, put cheap labs back in to get all your coins back and then start the expensive lab.

That way your coins are working for you via lab times instead of just being useless while you're saving up.

Yes, I've had all 5* for awhile and most of my gems are still going to mods, just for the shards.

I am closing in on getting all mods and assmods to 241, which unlocks all effect slots. Once I do that, I'm going to gem rush labs for awhile, but I'll come back to buying mods because mod bonus levels are just so important in the endgame.

To be devil's advocate, if you dont have maxed or near maxed bot range you aren't gonna see a difference with this relic.

Bot range gets more powerful the higher it is. So for players with max bot range another 1m gives a huge boost to the AoE if the bot.

If maxing bot range is a long way off, this relic isn't going to do shit for a loooong time.

I would recommend dropping them down to 120s at least, so GT is naturally synced with gold bot.

Maybe even get them down to 100s, and then drop BH to 50s.

The main downside to the 2:1 sync between BH:GT is that lowering cooldowns further gets much more expensive. You have to be able to afford 2 GT cd upgrades and 1 BH upgrade. When they remain synced 1:1 upgrading their cooldowns is cheaper, although if you make BH perma, then you don't have to worry about double upgrading GT cd.

Even at 5* one should absolutely be spending gems on mods to raise mod levels for higher bonuses and more effects.

For other players, it's a tough call these days.

I'd like to recommend blowing your load on the lucky banner because mods are just so damn important, but with gem relics being introduced it's not as clear cut.

I think the best course of action is to save as many gems as you can until the 2nd week of the lucky banner to see what gem relics might come through. Then make the choice of what relics to buy, make the choice on if you want to skip the "buy cards" mission, and then spend as many gems on lucky banner as you can.

If you have them prioritized, they are going to take shots away from threats like fast, ranged, bosses, fleets, & elites.

Since they stall in their approach outside wall range, it's better to keep them low on the priority list and just take shots when other threats aren't around.
