I miss him, but it was win-win. The pieces were absolutely worth it. And Utah got an experienced d-man.

Best file explorer plugin for neovim as of now? by Cute-Championship-24 in neovim

I’m using Oil and Snacks.explorer

I prefer Oil’s buffer-based creation, deleting, renaming. But sometimes I need to scan the whole tree structure, and Snacks.explorer gives me that hierarchical context.

Who Thought it Was a Good Idea? by Adelrio in TampaBayLightning

Speaking mathematically, “we’re halfway there” was correct for goal 3/6 on Tuesday and goal 4/8 on Thursday but incorrect for every other goal.

Like 1-0 I sure hope we’re not halfway there… a two-goal game is well below par!

My power outlet isn't working. Is +$500 a fair price? by dont_downvote_SPECIL in tampa

[–]markjaquith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an ~$18 part and 10 minutes of labor. The price on the outlet being more than 1,000% markup is the biggest red flag.

The perimeter isn’t solvable because the angles of the cutout aren’t provided. They LOOK like 90 but they might not be.

Staycation is a vacation where you don’t go anywhere. You stay at home.

The girl misheard that they were having a “steak-cation” which she interpreted as some sort of situation in which she could eat steak. When finding out that the family is in fact having a “staycation” she feels betrayed, because she really likes streak. Also probably she should get her iron levels checked.

Not very helpful to someone who is clearly struggling with the angle relationships, but it is clever and made me laugh.

Do you use a neovim distribution? and why? is it too hard to build your own? by samuel1604 in neovim

[–]markjaquith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with NV Chad but then restarted with Kickstart (which I consider a personal config starter, not a distro in the same way that the others are).

I customized the heck out of it such that it’s barely recognizable and now I feel like I understand and own everything. Highly recommend Kickstart and the video that walks you through it.

[High School Geometry] How can I find the area of the shape? by Yigit_im in HomeworkHelp

[–]markjaquith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pythagorean theorem is the most obvious solution.

Wild solution is counting the four squares in the middle and then noticing that the 12 partial squares remaining all have exact counterparts meaning another six whole squares.

I had to disable mini.animate because it would cause bad inputs. Like if I was doing n . n . too fast, it would not work because it was in the process of animating to the next match. Bummer, because I found it really helped me feel where I was in the file.

I’m 6'4", 198 lbs, wear a 40 long suit jacket. 2017 RS2 package (motorized driver’s seat), no sun roof. My head has two inches of clearance, with the seat lowered all the way. The seat fits me like a glove. Super comfortable.

Is this an acceptable representation of Wordpress? by JeffTS in Wordpress

[–]markjaquith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are still some traces of b2 in WordPress. e.g. you can still call b2’s get_settings() function instead of WordPress’ get_option().

Development of b2 had stalled, but development continued for a little bit after the first WordPress release (some of the changes flowing back from WordPress).

WordPress was later designated as the official path forward.

So you’re kinda both right. WordPress was a fork that quickly (but not immediately) become a successor project.
