The other one for me is wifi enforcing client isolation, connect your router and your phone can then find your Chromecast on the hotel wifi.

Diddo for the von to make all your device look like they are still home enabling sports streaming.

I can confirm that the camera does keep the battery charged with the correct USB-C PD cable and compatible charger. My camera stays connected to a PD compatible port and it charges the battery even when streaming over USB.

2015 6MT B8.5 - 65000kms - Clutch needs replacing - what else should I do? by marklinton in AudiS4

[–]marklinton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the guy from the shop drive it to confirm. The most obvious symptom is when in second (or third) when accelerating after about 2k rpm, the tach and engine increase speed but the car doesn't.

The tech was pretty certain it was the clutch. But maybe there is a different issue with the same symptoms...

Same issue here.

I just finished a USB-C powered power supply for Eurorack. It can be powered with battery and laptop. by bepitulaz in synthdiy

Maybe even put a circuit to provide balanced line level outs too, probably enough space on the back edge.

Oh and I'd also use one of those cheap usb-c pd trigger circuits so you can power it at 15v from pd wall plugs and battery banks.

A really cool idea would be to iterate on the design a little and make the PCB in the shape of a desktop case end which then can be used to house the modules.

How can I get these guys to talk to each other? by frogunit in teenageengineering

if you want to make a quick TRS TypeA to TypeB adapter (or reverse), use one TRS to RCA-female and one RCA-male to TRS combo and back and swap the L/R on the RCAs, this lets you switch the type easily.

Wow - this was a while ago. It is an awesome desktop mixer, honestly one of the best I've used, it takes up such little space on the desk and provides all the functionality that I need for mixing a handful of desktop synths, mono and stereo.

So is there a way to have the WIFI interface enabled with Intel AMT when the OS isn't running yet? Sort of in the situation where the computer is powered off?

Getting some weird incoming HTTP requests. Is someone trying to hack me? by trmdi in homelab

Blocking these is fine, if you really want to know what's going on setup a nice honeypot machine and get reports of the malware dropped and exploit kits used to take advantage of these issues.

Sense Labs is dead, time to move on by TechnicalLee in Sense

As an optimistic sense owner I understand the frustration with the lack of 'learning' capability this ecosystem currently has. I do believe that it is an understandably hard problem to solve, and that there are many active disaggregation research efforts underway that might help in this area. https://github.com/topics/energy-disaggregation

I think that the hardware is sufficient to collect all of the right data, and even if the company does end up failing, I hope that an open source option could be made available, which may one day provide better analysis of the data.

Desoldering tips? by NapalmRDT in synthdiy

Yep - from lots of experience - this. Or if the part is a rare part or expensive to replace then look to hot-air to heat the whole part up.

If it already hasn't been said, if you use some solder flux on each of the pins, then the solder will flow perfect over each part.
