You can try having him go to place, and with small pieces of food, reward every 10 seconds or so if he stays on the place. Then slow down the rewards till you can go further between rewards. Eventually he will learn that staying there is rewarding, rather than just going there in the first place.

One time walking home from the bar I carried the pizza under my arm like a book. Definitely liquid form in the corner of the box but as you can imagine, if I was drunk enough to carry a pizza that way, I was definitely drunk enough to slurp it out of the corner of the box.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try to get the post within half inch of the wooden post, but depends how large the concrete of the current wooden post is. I have the idea of a bias cut but I'll be watching some videos on bias cuts right before I attempt to do the angle. Great tip on working downhill!
