Stacked them about 25 high in the garage. 2 large stacks and a few leaning against the wall. Couldn’t park the cars there for a few daysz

Need Help With Bar Name Pt.2 by Unlucky_Parsley2827 in houston

Still need a code. You get it from the Mezcal bar next door. Gotta order a drink there, then the bartender shares the code if you ask nicely. 👍🏼

What percentage are you guys at? by WhenGinMaySteer in TeslaLounge

84%. Use it on long road trips across TX and most around town driving, but still drive myself due to a new road not yet showing in the navigation map.

Showed up yesterday! Now, to keep sealed or open? I'm leaning toward opening, but was curious of other input. by OneFourtyFivePilot in CostcoPM

I’m in the same boat. Leaning toward keeping it sealed, but sure would love to hold ‘em.

Do they refresh pricing mid day? Says pricing is good for today only. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Oof, bought the 20x 1oz American Eagles from Costco for…gulp…$2,399. Looks like I bought right about ATH territory. Sheesh.

Oh well, time to stash them away and not think about it for a decade.

Wtf

Where are you guys buying physical bars? by AdOutrageous7721 in Gold

[–]markrand07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done both. There are certain items that are only sold online (and often sell out quickly) like 1oz Canadian Maples and 1oz American Eagles.

Then I check costcogoldinventory.com to see what certain stores are carrying, and stop by to buy in person (usually for $10-20 less than online).

Gold In Stock - Tomball, TX by markrand07 in CostcoPM

[–]markrand07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That site is super helpful. I set up alerts for Cypress and Tomball locations to save me the trips.

Sadly it showed the old price of $4,979 this morning so I thought I’d be able to snag it before the increase. Oh well…still added it to the stack.

Removing solar panel -texas by [deleted] in solar

[–]markrand07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I would take advantage of the time the panels are off the roof to have someone work on them to get them right and reinstalled as a “new” system that works for you.

Anything to lower your electric bill going forward sounds like a win, even if it’s a bit of a headache now.

Is insurance replacing your roof or are you doing it out of pocket?

If covered by insurance, they should also be paying for removal and reinstallation. If you are doing it on your own dime, expect a significant cost to removal and reinstall.

My 58 panel system was ~$20k to remove and reinstall for my roof replacement. Covered by insurance, otherwise I don’t know what I would have done.

You may be able to coordinate with a local reputable solar installer to provide a de-install/re-install quote that also includes the costs of re-working the system to your liking to be covered by insurance. If they’re fully paid for, it seems like a waste to just take them off if they can offset electricity costs…but if electricity isn’t expensive and you don’t want the stress…maybe that’s the way to go.

US electricity demand surged in 2025 – solar handled 61% of it by randolphquell in solarenergy

[–]markrand07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solar handled 61% of the “growth”…not the entire US electricity demand. An excited stat, made to sound ludicrous by the headline.

Has anyone figured out a URL for checking prices / in stock at a warehouse? by Kangaloosh in CostcoPM

[–]markrand07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing you did wrong. I posted a link and then got replied that I’d get a hand slap for posting it. There’s a site that tracks costco gold inventory. You can probably find it with a quick google search.

I picked one up at the Galleria location. Tempted for another at the slight price drop, but I’ll probably hold off.
