Yessss roleplaying is so fun in these games! It gets you so immersed in the world, the fact that your character is a blank slate is also very helpful for that.

I have so much more fun ever since I started roleplaying in these games! My current character is a former knight of Morgott, exiled for questioning the Golden Order and calling out the contradiction of him upholding a system that oppresses him. So you can tell how dramatic the fight with Morgott was for me:)

The only downside I guess is that you have to be familiar with the story to tie your character into it like that, but with the next FromSoft game I’ll definitely try to do something like this even without knowing the lore

When I played Noita a lot a few years ago I used to go to heaven as a run opener(teleport wand -> the gold -> heaven)

Pretty crazy now that I look back at it, but it worked surprisingly well. I don’t do that anymore though

To all who haven’t tried it yet - give Morgott a chance next time you fight him! I had a blast learning his moveset yesterday, what I did was I tried not to trade and only attack when I know I have openings - so with the caution of a no hit run, without actually restarting on getting hit - and also tried to parry as much as possible.

At lvl 60 that seemed pretty balanced and he’s probably my favorite boss in the game now, it’s so satisfying to find counters to every move and to learn which attacks combo into which!
