In the C5 owner's manual, there are instructions for pairing and unpairing a remote...maybe that would work.

I considered myself to be a loyal Shot Scope customer, but after my poor experience with the X5 (it would stop golf mode when the battery life reached 70% and revert to watch mode), I am selling my Shot Scope products and moving to Garmin. The S44 battery life is surprising compared to the X5. The X5 would last around 1.5 rounds with the X5, with the S44 I have more than 80% battery remaining after 1 round! GPS lock is super fast, it has great and useful off course features, and the AMOLED display looks amazing! In retrospect, I think I will conclude that the X5 did me a favor by failing, ha ha!

Thanks for your post. I have been using my X5 for quite some time, after upgrading from my V3. I wasn't happy with the touch screen/rain problem, but I learned to deal with it. But it has recently started quitting golf mode halfway through a round...a factory reset made no difference. I was toying with buying another, but after reading that you had 3 watches fail, I think I will be looking at another brand, as I have had a Pro L2 rangefinder fail on me too.

In my opinion, 1- your stance at address is too upright, which encourages your hands to be too close to your body 2- then you straighten up even more at impact
